Picked up this little ditty recently on NPR.  I have not verified this personaly but I find the disproportion amazing.

The United States population represents 5% of the global population.

The United States economic output is 50% of the global economic output.

If u mean the gross national product and u believe these numbers than its no wonder that u have a lets say strange egocentric patriotic view of the USA.

GNP includes money spent on everything.  Maintaining a military, not to mention using it, is quite expensive.  As is several other things the U.S. spends a lot of money on.

Sry, here we go:

BTW I really have problems with english point position. Are there any understandable rules?

Unfortunately, Duedel, English doesn't generally abide by rules. Punctuation, like intonation when speaking English, really comes from practice and exposure to the language in action.

Like we usually say in France  to someone who has trouble forming a sentence  "spit all ,we will sort" :)
