Turbo11:
Grumman F7F and F8F are "Post-War" planes that they were too late to enter WWII and they were close to see the action, but War was ended while they were on the way to Japan, and also again, F2G-1/-2 Super Corsair were too late to see action.

Boy, just a little biased there, don'tchathink?
Lets see, here's a translation:
American:
Uber birds!!!! Lots of of uber birds. Some solid stuff and a little bit of crap to try to disguise the intent.
British:
Crap.
German:
Crap, but with a bone.
Japanese:
Utter crap!!!!
Soviet:
Its good, so we can only do one plane.
-
Everything is crap to you.
-
He is simply stating that there are alot of American planes already. Yes I agree that the planeset should be more balanced, but also there were quite alot of american planes compared to other countries.
I say add the p38J:aok
Then balance out the planeset
Then work on adding even more aircraft and vehicles
Maybe 2 weeks after Aces High 2 comes out every plane that saw action in WWII will be added;)

Not nearly so lopsided as you might think.
Japan had two fully separate airforces too. The USSR had gobs of aircraft types. The RAF had redundant types as well.
Asking for a B-24J is like asking for a Halifax Mk II. Neither are significantly different than the B-17G or Lancaster Mk III when compared to gaps like the Ki-84, Pe-2 (which was a good choice) or Tu-2, He177A-5 or Ju188A-2 or Do217E.
There are huge numbers of aircraft not yet in AH and when you look at the total type list the majority are non-American.
Jeez, asking for the F7F and F8F against the A5M? How distorted can you get, especially considering the mass produced, late war Ki-84 isn't even in the game yet.

great point Karnak, but given the gamey aspect in here that A5 could win its share of HO's against the Bearcat. :lol I'm punting everything until Mr. Frank comes to dinner.

Sorry I just had lunch.
Instead of adding new planes, I think they should get rid of the P-38 (Red.) :)

Since this discussion seems to be still alive, give us:
Brewster Model 239.
But with that we should have at least...
I-16 Rata
And... ... Pe-2, Bristol Blenheim, Curtiss Hawk A75 and Ki84... :)

Other than reskinning it for ANZAC ground attack duty, why in hell would we need the AT-6 for?
Oh, right, for noobs. :aok

Yeah, AT-6 would be excellent to train newbies in Training Area :D

Need this:

I'm not good at knowing what planes look like, but, what is it?
-
P-39 Airacobra, another obvious hole in the AH fleet.
-
Ki-84, P-39, and Pe-2.
Does anyone disagree with these 3?
-
Me.

Those are all needed additions, though I think the P-39 is a lower priority than some others. The Ki-84 and the Pe-2 are both way up there.
-
we need teh b29 with teh atomic b0mb!
NM thats a dammedscrewy idea we need a p-39q to give spits 37mm where the sun dont shine like they got in FA

Why not every AC/GV/Boat/ship/sub that saw active service in WWII.
Provided
1. More than 500 were in use prior end WWII
2. When all those are done look to those where more than 100 were in in use prior end WWII
3. Then 50.
4. Then other stuff
On the atom bomb. When all the other stuff has been done first.
I reckon it should be perked at about 10,000 bomber perks. As you drop it you lose them
When dropped it will take out every thing within a 4 sector (including freindly) radius including the B29 if its under 30K
Any fighter shooting down a B29 laden with A Bomb gets a 1000 perk point bonus.
B29's would only be available from Zone master bases and cost another 500 perks per mission if not returned.
A Tigermoth!.....might be interesting to force every one on AH2 ToD thru TigerMoth training before they get their Hurri 1 or Spit 1 or go on to Wellingtons or or what ever.
Does that mean US avatars have to learn on Harvards?

The largest hydrogen bomb ever dropped, the 62 megaton monster the Soviets dropped from a Bear turboprop in '61 or '62, probably would not destroy everything, in AH terms, in a 25 mile square sector. A 1945 model 15 kiloton bomb would knock down everything in an AH zone city, which is about third of a mile on a side. If the city were one mile square, an airburst over the center *might* leave reinforced earthquake-resistant buildings standing in the corners (if such were modeled in AH).

Add the Beaufighter Mk21/TFX, and you got my vote!

never any love for the P47.... 1816 P-47Ns were produced and saw extensive combat in the PTO. This is far more than many aircraft that are currently in the game. Furthermore, 130 P-47Ms were produced, nearly as much as the 150 Ta-152s produced.
