would like to hear some feedback on the changes i am making.
I will start with the new map colors. default icons are better contrast with this and ez to read. (color blind people need to reply to this screenshot please)
no carriers will be removed yet. the problem with warps and lag points towards having too many objects (i had almost 30,000) the more objects there is the more the server chokes at prime time so i have cut back object count to 24000 which should make for good warp free fun while still keeping the cv fleets whole.
I removed the second carrier on 3 fleets in case it was a culprit in any wierdness.

also notice i have added some overwater spawn points from the 135 tank town to rabaul (a98 and a99) and to guadalcanal (A158)
the intention of this is to spread the places where fights occur more consistently to very interesting spots. basically instigating a fight by suspending disbelief that gvs did not travel over water but ships landed them on the island after traveling from the remote spawn.
ive done this only on the edges of the map where there is short water distances or island chains connecting landmasses. also this makes holding and defending these outlying tank towns more important because loosing them poses a greater threat than before when loosing them didnt matter.
also the 10k base is 6k now with a kickass gv tobaghan run that i sculpted out for some great air and ultimate dweebery.
the 12k base will also be 6k but havent figured out how to lower it because all surrounding terrain is very high up.

hmm looks good ! still want my ultimate dweeb no shoot island with the beach runway, bar on beach with half nekkid hula girls dancing to girl from epanema !:D
P.S. hey heres and idea ......how bout putting in nights! wow that would be diff! then i could dress up in my uber ninja outfit sabotage the enmy planes and chase half nekkid hula girls till the weeee hours of da morning then takeoff vulch da enmy and winn da day....ooops no sorry fergot no shoot island hmmmm ok ill just settle for the ninja outfit half nekkid hula girls and snatching the maitai's from da bar....AT NIGHT!!:aok

Very nice on the map colors cit :)
I use Yellow for enemies and cyan(blue green 100%, red 0%) for friendlies. The friendlies were tough to see on the map.

Mildly red-greed blind.
The contrast is much better. But it was workable before so who knows?

Could you non historically add 3 more close proximity island bases around furball island?

You might be beating the wrong horse to go faster. Trinity uses 30k of objects and does not suffer from the warp problems of Oz. It is possible that the majority of the warp problems come from Furball Island.
Putting 400+ people, in planes and gvs, into the same sector could be putting a lot of stress on the system. Add all of the map objects and I know that you greatly increase the possiblity of hardward warps (ie. the client simply can't keep up with everything).
When I first started playing AH, I had to avoid the large fights at airfields for precisely this reason. I do hope this is not the case and that the changes you are implementing will solve the problem. G'luck :).

on the 10k base i had to level to 6k I put in a really fun gv slide that if you use the m8 or m3 you will go airborne about 50 feet up then land it hehe

i suspected it may be the number of carrier fleets as well as the high number of objects but i dont think htc wants me to remove any carriers until i try this first.

i have the object count down to 24096 from i believe 29800.
nearly 5704 less things to worry about hehe.
im really wondering if for the next MA i make maybe if i should make a 512 map in a series of 256x256 maps that reset from one to the next. the 512 maps seem to always have a lot of land and bases that really dont get used much.
but before i try that im thinking about making a 512 map that is designed kind of like sfma where there is great expanse of water in the center. this type of map seems most fluid in movign the fights to different parts of the map and using all realestate.
i am pretty sure any map with a center section where all 3 countries bump into eachother the fight will stay in that spot and not move much.

Mr Fester. i believe your map is by far the most enjoyable to play on and ultimately, the most creative map so far. now if you would just change country to knights so i didnt have to fear your 262 anymore i would be most satisfied:D

I prefer the 3 color country icons from AW and WB's. It makes it alot easier to see who is fighting were and with what numbers
