Joined a Stuka mission yesterday as a Knight. Had about 20 planes lift off from a 10,000 foot high runway. Everything was going smoothly except for one pilot by the name of FlyBye who kept cussing and complaining on the mic.
This guy was cussing about everything, about the Stuka not having wep, about our altitude, our target, etc.
Well, we reach the airfield we are supposed to attack. The Ju87s drop on the fighter hangars, and all go down except for one. FlyBye gets real excited, and starts yelling "Whos gonna get that hangar, whos hangar is that??!?!" Well he finally decides to bomb the hangar himself. The whole mission at this point is counting on him so we can CAP the base.
He goes into a dive from 15k, drops his bomb, misses the hangar, levels out on the deck, and then gets shot down by a hurricane that just lifted off from the field. All this takes place within about 30 seconds.
Thats pretty fun in of itself, but then someone on a private channel said to me "Yep...hes THAT good" as we watched FlyBye's attack. I must have laughed for 30 seconds or so, made the whole mission worth it right there.

a p38 try to kill me in my tiger. funny thing is that he missed me 3 times with his bombs and rockets and on his fourth attempt to strafe me he crashed into the deck.

A bunch of 110C's 109E's and 202's taking a couple of bases in the MA.

Not recent, but funny enough.
I was once cruising around in a P51b at about 12k. I had just gone to a base but they didn't need me, so I was just cruising around.
I came upon a Rook mission that had no less then 25 flights of B26's in somewhat close spread. They also had about 10 p51d's.
Of course I dove in. Who wouldn't?
Anyway, that was the night I discovered the rooke "Hoarde."

CV was hitting one of our baces last night. I take off in B26s to try and sink it. Our base is caped so I fight my way up. Some how I make it to 6K. Doors open, vis on cv. Spit on my 6. Beging firing tail guns. Spit down but now 109 is comming in. Take care of the 109, but a P47 is difing on my buffs. I start shooting at him but I see flack tracers all around me (think to my self I must be close to the cv). Spray at the 47 a little more. He is smoking, I am smokin, flack all around, I figure I should try and trop since I am not goiing to survive this. Switch to F6, right on time, release bombs, get kill message on the 47. Then I figured it out. The flack was not hurting me cause it was our own cv. I watched the bombs miss (its agood thing I suck) made sure noone saw what I did, and landed my three kills.

I was gunning a formation of B17's and our pilot saw an enemy P51D heavy that just took off from a base. He dove in behind it and about D400 from the 51 I opened up with the .50 cals from all 3 planes. The 51 was blown out of the sky. (The pony was flown by Natedogg.) Here is the film of the whole thing.

My squad, the Flying Zoo, was enroute to an airfield when we spotted a horde of NOE Lancs, too tasty to pass up :)
I got two with rockets, missed with my bombs, and the gentle upsloap caused a bunch to crash when they went to the gunner positions.
The F4C is just one mean airplane.

Launched from a back field on auto climb since I had to go put my daughters to bed. Took a bit longer than I thought it would.
Got back and found myself 1 base behind enemy lines at about 25k. Wouldn't you know it, at 20k, right below me, there was a mission of heavy P-51's.
Got 3 myself, made most of the rest drop their ordnance, and pushed them down low enough that they ran into the calvary I called.
(and yes, Virginia, they were rooks. Who else do you meet at 20K BEHIND their own lines.)
Ouch out.

got 2 stories: 1st : our squade was just returning form the DA one night when one of my squadies who had left earlier gets on squade channel says hey guys come to base xxx i got a cap over here vulch light on!! we all did a quick looksey at the map and we notice he's capped one of our fields!!! so I get on the vox and say : ya got a good cap on that do ya? he was soooo proud so we up from said capped field and the CO asked him hey, u gonna vulch us?
2nd: the before mentioned squadie was flying a mission with us we were about 12k-15k he was complaining bout someone and boasting his "undisputed" greatness while telling us how he was gonna be kicking some butt so don't be killstealing
so then my CO gets on vox REAL serious says "BREAK U GOT A 262 ON YER 6!!! he then goes NUTS!! dropped to 2k before he recovered his 190 all trying to avoid that phantome 262 LOL
Had to leave out squadies name cause u all prolly know him and would just LUV to have this embaressing info. kinda a love/hate thing going with this particular squadie :rofl
cant help it FYI was rick james! LOL
those that know ...know him, others well guess ya gotta know the guy to really get the full laugh at this

This is from AW days, but is still funny. We destroy a base and my squaddies have it capped. I auger and go for a goon. I fly to said capped base and let my squaddies know that I'm so far out and to check the base. They say "all is clear" so I open my door. I'm over the base and hitting the "jump" button but no drunks are jumping out. I'm screaming over the vox "why aren't my drunks jumping out?" A squaddie pulls up next to me and tells me I'm flying a F6F. Needless to say, I'm embarrassed as you could possibly be. Needless to say, my squaddies' are having a good laugh. We still talk about it to this day.

Logging on last night seeing this group of shed battlers tracking an enemy cv. They report it over channel 2 and then the bunch of them launch a pork flight to kill it.
But I kill the CV and then don't say anything! The shed battlers get bent out of shape and send me a message saying it would be nice if I'd told them that I'd killed the cv so they wouldn't have waste resources on something already dead. So I hollered back that I'm squelching him as I don't talk to 2 weekers!

I dunno if you would call it funny, but it sticks out as my greatest experience. I was in F6F, low on fuel and bb's 10 miles from home over the water when I'm bounced from 3k above by a Rook Spit. He overshot me and the game was on. We tangled for a good couple of minutes during which I spent the rest of my ammo (with nary a hit ) and he got my aileron and fuel. I ended up extending and running for home on the deck but he caught me quick and as I prepared for the end he blew by my port side did a roll then came back and flew station on my high 6 until I made land, then he peeled and buggered off. I ended up ditching OK, and immediately started banging out
's on the buffer, with no answer. My buds are all of the opinion that my survival was the result of him being out of BB's too, but I'm a schmuk that likes to believe that chivalry and honour are not dead !!! So if you were that Rook Spit,,,<> sir, thanks for the great fight, and thanks for the great memory. It's moments like these that keep me coming back. I'm going to sniff some more glue now...

i think the best was when Ripsnort and the rest of VMF323 did a CV mission with F4u's........
needless to say most of the people crashed into the sea, not knowing how to take a heavy F4u off from a CV :rofl

Forget the map but it was one with trains about 4 months ago.
An NOE mission rolled about 20 JABO planes to capture a base way behind the front lines.
Flew for about 10 minutes we were all pretty tight in. I was tail end charlie.
Mission popped out of a valley when over the mission channel Voxx all you started hearing was "OH *****."
I popped out of the valley and planes were crashing into the deck, burning hulks falling from the sky, planes breaking off in every direction, tracer fire everywhere, all kinds of comotion on mission and range voxx.
The NOE raid had popped out of a valley right into a resupply train and it laid waste to about 90% of the group.
I was laughing so hard my sides were hurting.
Out of the approx. 20 aircraft in the flight only about 4 RTB'd. I managed to RTB missing alot of major and essential airplane parts.
One train did what a group of defenders usually cant regardless of which side and that was to stop a large raid dead in its tracks.
I learned to respect trains and thier quad 20mm's alot that day. I knew they were deadly but man it was like flying into a blender on high speed that night.

I got bounced tonight in the CT by about 10-12 P51's in my 190A5. They all came down in a pack, I did the "Shane/Wildthing" roll reversal move (which I have been diligently practicing) and made very one of them overshoot. Unfortunately, I was laughing so hard I didnt kill any as they went by.

Whilst gooning A127 on FesterMA i got to the field and discovered that our CAP had gone.....completely. luckily no enemies had realised and the way was clear. as i approached the town a i realised with terror that a niki had just upped behind me facing the opposite way to me. knowing i could not make it to the drop i turned round and chased after the niki closing the gap between us to about 200yrds. he must have been a seriously new type (stall limiter, auto trim etc) because try as he might, he could not shake me:rofl for the first two minutes it was vaguely amusing but after about 4 mins i was cursing having no guns. in total i tailed him around his own field for 5 mins untill a spit14 came racing down from somewhere i know not, and ripped two shades of **** out of me. i had to log after this because i couldnt se from the tears of laughter
If you were that niki, wtg:aok , made me laugh for a full 10 mins

*long time ago I led a Bishwaffe raid, we roll from a rear base for alt, 10 minutes later we are passing over an allied base...
I call targets and "Talley ho" and dive down for staffing run on our own field, luckily the 15 or 20 guys all ignored the mission leader and continued on...:D

This is telling on myself but have seen others do it also, and it's just as funny.
Went in to capture a base after fighting numerous upped boggies and supressing some comming in from another base.
I had like seconds to drop the drunks.....line up ...open the door....and .....re-supplied their base. :rofl

Ok, not going to mention names but there is a certain guy in my squad who killshot himself in a 262 while sitting on the runway waiting to takeoff. Accidentally hit the primary fire key and shredded the guy in front of him (you know who you are) :D
As for myself the first time I took up a 262 pert near a year ago now, I was flying around entirely too high, when they tell me over range that the enemy is dropping troops over our town. So of course I go nose down from 10k heading to sea level... see the troops... get one in my sights... as I pull the trigger the familiar sound of wings ripping off overtakes me as I go motoring by and pancaking into the hill in front of me. Sadly, they took the base and the only things hurt were my perk supply and my ego, but life goes on :aok
Oh and one last thing not 262 related... I once took a town with a fully functional tiger sitting in it on the Pizza map. Just a reminder to all of you out there who like to play defence with your engine running, you can't hear the m3 behind ya. And after he figured out what happened, I had taken out one track, the ack got another and I got the kill.. LOL

Flaying around the other day uin my ride..just scoping things out alone looking for a lone dot or 2...when I see 3. Im at 8-9k and they are way higher. As they get closer they are all 3 109's. I think..Welp this isn't good..but wth I'll make the best of it. I watch em as they circle like a bunch of vultures and think these guys are pretty smart...and then they alllll dive at the same time. As they get closer I make my roll over and the whizz right by..All 3 of em..right wing to wing....They were fully compressed and all 3 followed each other to the ground...OMG i was laffing so hard I almost crashed.
3 kills...never fired a shot. I private chatted em and come to find out they were 3 newbies that had just been online a couple days. Flying G10's cause they looked cool. Funny Funny Funny...They were nice...The one asked me..."What is it when the plane starts shaking and ya control it no more?" I told him...Compressed Death. :lol

I admit that the 'did it to yourself' factor has to make it worse than for the 262s I vulched a while back on the Pizza map from 1800 out in a Panzer IV that was missing both tracks; the field had fallen enough behind the lines that people felt it was safe enough to take up 262s from it... Well, they were wrong... I was laughing so hard after the first one I almost missed the second one. They killed me eventually when I ran out of ammo, but it was hilarious while it lasted.

Way back on mindano bish just took 60 and were coming S to the port. no one from 9typh was online so our cv was safe from kamikazi lemmings right on the horizon from the port. I up a seafire and go NOE to whack the goon. I fly to the port no one there I figure if I was a bish goon I would take the safe way down the canyon instead of withen visual range of our cv. I fly down canyon doing my lawnmower impression. Only plane I see is an f6 heading home Im about to set of base warning so I check dar quick,hey on other side of the mountain is a dot. That must be the goon. I fly up the hill,roll inverted at the top to scrape my canopy on the crest and go downhill dodging trees. Darn its not the goon only a spit crossing from 3-9 and there is no way he can see me. I ll just kill him and land. I scream down that hill getting grasstains on my seafires belly come up directly underneath him and,hmm this'll be fun Ill close to 200 and blow him to hell. 350 300 275 range goes down. 200 I pull trigger just as he pulls stick into gut,stalls,and wets his pants. WTH? where that 6 call for him come from? Sure enough I spot the goon about 4k out, make a pass and damage him. Spit comes I kill him, finish goon off. Then say on channel 1 "thanks for 6 calling him goon, never saw you", Goon pilot says " :( " . To top it off was landing on cv when spits squadie trys to vulch me. :rofl

I saw one last night. Must have been about 10 sets of lancs coming into a rook base, all NOE. The prob was..some dweeby n1ks were not NOE... The rooks base had about 20 rooks surrounding it too. Once they entered radar range, they were all shot down lmao. Also saw a bish f4u mission or somethin and they all porked the field....but augered lol.

JJ is a crucial addition to any mission! He check's everyones sixes even if he himself is being shot to hell by 5 n1ks, 2 spitfires, 3 la7's and a 190 popping in and out (true story). This included with his most excellent accent is pure goodness to any mission. Put's a smile on my face! You a funny man JJ!!:D :rofl

my good wingy, who never gets out of his fighter, got out of his hog and into a goon. He flew his goon all the way to the base that had been under attack for hours; we cap'd the town for him, kept him updated on the location of stray nmy fighters; he flies up and drops; it appears to me that he only dropped one troop, so i tell him to finish dropping; he replies he dropped; I fly by, see a pallet of supplies! Ohh the pain he suffered from us laughing at him!

Ah jeez, had a really good one recently. It was an NOE Typhoon P38 mission around furball island to take one of the bases.
The mission planner said that if the goons are attack, the typhoons should drop the 1k pounder bombs and save them.
So of Course he gave the call. I pulled up from 40 feet then released the bombs while I was heading upwards. I looked backwards and suddenly it occured to me.
I don't think many people out of our mission knew that if you drop a bomb too low, it will kill you.
3/4 of the typhoons in the mission poofed instantly.

You know, suddenly I think I understand something that puzzled me for months.
I was making a relatively low approach to an enemy airfield in an F4U with a pair of 1k bombs, and I'd passed a goon on my way in. As I angle over toward the field, I hear the goon driver call for help. I start to pull up into a chandelle to go back to help, and realize I'm heavy, so I pickle my bombs and keep turning. About ten seconds later, as I'm starting to line up for a pass on the Spit harassing the goon (he must have been down to BBs or a dweeb, because he'd made two passes without shooting the goon down), I get a kill message. The three of us were the only planes I could see; I couldn't think of anyone I'd damaged I might have gotten a kill for when someone else finished them off.
Now I think I understand what must have happened; I must have bull's-eyed some poor schmuck in a GV with my eggs, which I'd just lobbed off in whatever direction they wanted to go, at about a sixty-degree up angle, so that they would have been in the air for a bit before they hit.
I can only imagine what the GV driver must have thought; I was never within icon range of an enemy GV, and didn't see anything on the ground, so I must have been more than 2k out from him. If he was watching me, I must have come off as the deadliest bombflinger in the game to be able to hit him from that far out -- and turning away without even bothering to do BDA, to boot... or he wasn't watching, and died without knowing how freak a long shot it was.
