I've been working on reversals since 1958 and could never get it together. Old flight system was a four way hat where I had to use buttons for the back left and right views. Button to switch sticks to the up view.. Lost the con on the pass through 90% of the time..
New setup has an eight view hat. Button for the second stick set and that's sixteen..
With a month of rust, flying a new unfamilier stick I could track my targets on the reverse EASILY through the pass..
If it wasn't for the rust it would have been guns..
And AMAZING difference in tracking ability.

i have a old CH set (gameport) and for my views i use two 4way hats and another bottun for looking direct up.
it is great. i can look anywhere any time real fast, and its really comfortable after you get use to it.
as i understand it nopoop you use CH allso so here is my set:
use 1 hat on the joystick and program it to forward backward left and right
use a thomb hat on the throttle and put only left and right. and lastly assign a key in the front of the throttle for a up view.
you now have acces to all the necesseries views and its simple and easy.
note you can add a "down" view to the throttle hat, i myself rarely use this view and dont have it programmed on my stick.
