U.S., Iraq Generals Reach Tentative Deal
(AP) - U.S. Marines negotiated a "tentative" agreement Thursday to pull back forces from Fallujah, a deal that would lift a nearly monthlong siege and allow an Iraqi force led by a former Saddam Hussein-era general to handle security. Fresh clashes broke out despite news of a pending deal, and U.S. warplanes dropped bombs on insurgent targets. Ten U.S. soldiers and a South African civilian were killed in attacks elsewhere, including eight Americans who died when a bomb hit as they tried to clear explosives from a road south of Baghdad.
Thats It let those idiots screw up what just cost oveer 100 American lives to acheive.
The Arse kicking aint done yet and once again the panzy arsed politicions have tied the hands of the military.
Freekin morons in washington really need to let the generals there call the shots .
LOL and to turn it over to some arseclown who used to be one of saddumbs generals oh my GOD there a stroke of genius.

Damn, pretty soon I'm gonna run out of space in my ignore list. For the good of us all, you should just stick to the Mr. Black handle.
-
But waite theres more insainity!!!
The force, which would replace the Marine cordon and move into the city as U.S. troops pull back, would be led by a leading general from Saddam's army and include Iraqis with "military experience" from the Fallujah region, Byrne said.
It could even include gunmen who fought with guerrillas against the Americans — particularly ex-soldiers disgruntled over losing their jobs when the United States disbanded the old Iraqi army, another Marine officer said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Why are you here? dont you have any other friends you can play with?

Hey there is some truth to that GScholz

ooops sorry thiught this was a thread about Mr. Black having YET another BBS handle. Why not just go back to the Mr. Black motiff?
guess skuzzmiester wont have none of that. Oh bye the bye never did see Lorna post nuthin bout the L.A.W. on her websight.
-
Smart move. We cannot win.
That is unless we take a cue from our Israeli friends and just start building walls.
Of course, this wouldn't work well with the stated goal of liberating the poor oppressed people of Iraq.

I believe Skuzzy has said over and over that If you cant stick to the subject of the thread perhapes you should not say anything!
You might wanna think about that.

My dad, which is a lifelong consrervative, is starting to sound like sandman. this has me very concerned. he's 76 years of age and until about 6 months ago he seemed fine. does that mean that when we approach the twilight of our lives we become anuses?
he feels that he won't vote in this election. a first for him. he feels that we will be garrisoning Iraq for years to come and he's concerned with the welfare of his grandchildren. this from the guy who was even more disappointed than I that vietnam ended too soon and I didn't get to shoot a bunch of communists.

Be sure to wear gloves. The ground can damage your knuckles if you're not careful.

Maybe it means that there is a difference between Liberal, Democrat, Republican and Neo-Conservative. One can vote Republican and still think the Neo-Cons, an extreme version of the Party are a response to 9/11 and going down the wrong path.
Why don't you explain to your Dad your concerns and tell him you think he's lost his marbles - let us know what his response is.
-
Better yet, ask him if your observation that old age has made him an "anus" is correct.
-
Well I would have suggested that but I don't want Storch to have to come and tell us all about how a 70 year old kicked his ass.....

there you go again avoiding the issue. Pehaps if you didn't use so many aliases and either backed up you outrageous claims OR stopped making them people wouldn't hijack your thread. Stop avoiding questions and issues and we will stop hunting you down on your threads and forcing the issue.........well some of us will.....well i will

that is a hell of a way to talk about your dad.
And he is not alone, BUsh* support is eroding, his approvals at a all time low and negatives at an all time high. To make matters worse for the GOP, turnout in key battleground state Pa was really poor fo rthe Specter/Toomey primary, while Dem primaries have been setting attendance records.
You see, the US is waking up to the fact that the emperor has no clothes.

A reporter once interviewed a famous 80 year old and asked "how does it feel to be 80?"
He said "I feel like I'm 18 and having something terribly wrong with me."

I haven't heard/read if this is politicians or military command in Iraq pushing for this "buffer" Iraqi military unit in Fallujah (sp?). The fact that the U.S. is using a former commander of the Republican Guard (and a Sunni) is SMART ! The commander of this unit still reports directly the Marines for now (last I heard this morning).

It is more a function of Kerry failing than Bush succeeding (without even trying) at this point in time.

if im correct 1 or 2 days before troops pulled away from Faludja, Bush clamied to suppress all rebels&terrorist overthere
that man is realy so funny, even my grandfather were lauging during the news, when tactical disengament were announced. he said, that Hitler did a lot of tactical moves back as well in late 44 :D
Last week i read on news that about 64 rebels were killed in Faludja. So i ask myself.. heee ?? is their situation realy that bad, that they have to report 64 killed rebels ? And yesterday i saw some numberst around 140 coalition troops killed.
Whole Faludja looks like baaad joke.
And what about letter, whitch has been posted here few days ago? Some super cool ultra brave marine wrote about kicking butts in faludja .. ?
Iraqi point of view ?
In fact, that they fought agains Occupants and occupants are leaving now, they probably consider themself as winners.
Are they going to fight Iraqi police ?
They reached their goals, i dont thing so. They will probably hold some sort of speach with them.
Anyway this is first public news, whitch can be interpreted as ... Rebels won.
It will be interesting to see, what happen in other towns.
ps.: And that bad news and pictures from prison ... LOL what a freedom fighters
