Title: P-47 skinning question
Post by: oboe on April 29, 2004, 10:39:47 PM
I've played around with skinning the Jug and ran into a puzzling problem.     I cannot find where the upper fuselage decking color comes from in the bmp files - for either the -D25 or -D30.

The color seems to be stretched across the upper deck from somewhere, but I don't see where.   On the 47-D30, its a translucant dark green, and I cannot find this color anywhere in the bmp skin files.

Can anyone help?   Thanks much!

that's built into the 3D model. it's the glare reduction area. so basically you're stuck with it.

Oh thanks.   Actually I don't see this area on the D25 - only the D30.   I guess you have to adapt the color scheme to get it to look right with it.

Thanks Mason.

make a skin that is like a pattern or something that is the same over the entire skin (like black and white checkerboard).

then you will be able to see it.
