Title: An exciting revalation
Post by: texace on November 11, 2000, 07:07:00 PM
I found out something I guess about the brain. If you listen via headphone to the James Bond theme, Desert Rose, or Adagio for Strings (from Platoon) it make you a better fighter. Had my first 7 kill sortie while listening to James BOnd. Try it, it works.

No no no no guys, guys. Want the real WWII Fighter jock experience, it's got to be the "Big Band" sound. Glen Miller or Tommy Dorsey playing cuts like,"In the Mood", "String of Pearls", "I'll be seeing you", etc.

Jeeeeze... all you puppies.

Try ZZTop.  especially 'LaGrange'  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) (the music from the bar-fight scene in 'The Shanghi Kid')

Alternate selection: Queen, 'Another one bites the dust'. Perfect fer a vulch.  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

I go with the Metallica too, but older stuff.

Clay Soldiers, For Whom The Bell Tolls, basically anything from Master of Puppets or Ride the Lightening.

Thunderstruck rocks too.  It works for me when I'm in my Thunderbolt. <G>

Warren Zevon

Just the right mix of fatalistic cynicism & twisted worldview.

"Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner" gives me that steely-eyed look on long solo, pointless jabo runs  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Or, of course Black Flag, full volume in headphones to drown out the wife. "Six Pack" is purely for furballs, however, hehe.

Listen to 'To Hollywood and Glory'  by John Williams..for the ones who don't know it..it's the soundtrack from '1941'  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif).

But AC/DC really rocks..first the 'Highway to hell' where you can 'Ride On' and end 'Back in Black'  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif).

And perfectly for furballs is 'In the mood' :P.

Nearly forgot, best furball music goes to...

Joe Satriani, Surfin With the Alien
Joe Satriani, Summer Song

Of course, unless you really BLAST either of these, they sound like crap.

Fightering Music IS Definatly AC/DC!!  Back in black is pretty good  Shake a leg comes to mind... Thunder struck is good... SQUEELER is excellent for fightering... And if you look real close you can see NUTTZ and wifey in AC/DC Money Talks video (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Steppenwolf is good ( althou Magic carpet ride is my preference)

And Any CREDENCE!!!!! And Greenday. Foghat is good.

My fightering music really is across the board from Motown to todays music ( your milage may vary )

Bad fighter music choices: ABBA, Airsupply,Partridge Family Xmas album, Micheal Jackson,Simon and Garfunkle, BeeGee's, Frank Sinatra( sorry Frank,,God Bless)DEVO, John Tesh, AND DEFINATELY THE WORSE FIGHTERING SONG......."Endless Love"
