Title: Pure Fighter Squads....
Post by: RedTop on May 01, 2004, 10:25:15 PM: I was just wondering if there were squads in here that flew only fighters. Like Fighter Escort duty only. No Jabboing..Porking..Not really interested in Land Grabbing.

And...If there are..are any of them that Fly Spit V's pretty much all the time??

STrange question I know...but I was curious...Not quitting mine..but may fly try to hook up with them when my squad isn't on if they are knights.

Post by: WldThing on May 02, 2004, 12:41:51 AM: Lev is in the Blue Knights, but me and Levi usually wing during late nights when im off of work, 10 pm - 2 am... Were not in the same squad, but just find it useful to fly together :D

Shameless plug If you're into LW rides, check out III/JG2. We don't do much in the way of shed-shooting, either.

Post by: mechanic on May 02, 2004, 08:52:38 AM: If your flying for knight land, the *NDM* (nasty deadmen) do alot of fighter sorties. we do a bit of the other stuff too but many of us love our spit5s. i am a reletively new member so i hope i am not taking a liberty in this post. look us up and certainly i am online regularly and love winging up with spit pilots

Laz, Ely, Jinx, me, drunky (in CT occasionally), JDW. Urchin flew this tour, but haven't seen him in a while.

Haven't seen giggy in a while. Moot is on sabbatical, but still posts on BB.

If you ever go rooks, look up the 4wing. I'm sure we'd be happy to wing with you. We do a lot of fighter sweeps, it pretty much pick whatever ride makes you happy, but we have those that love the spit Vs. Anyway, look forward to seeing you on.

Nah, they should have stopped doing anything but adding all the fighters about 6 months into the Beta. Twas indeed the best of times.

13Th TAS and BKs might escort tanks or any aircraft flying around 500 feet. Don't see 13th TAS in the skies anymore. Against the horizon, yeah. :)

The only real "runner" I saw in Beta was Fishu. He sort of defined "cherrypicker" back then and he was essentially unique.

People didn't play "the way I wanted them to play" really. They played the game the way it was designed to be played, IE: AIR COMBAT.

The most of the changes to gameplay since Beta haven't been improvements IMO.

Before it changed to 15 a month and let's say friday night you might have 80 people in the MA! That was a big night and the fights were always good. Never had a problem with hoardes or gang banging. I too miss those days.
