3,768kg?  A kg is 2.20462 lbs.  So...I make that baby's weight to be about 8,300 lbs.  Whoa...they breed 'em pretty big over there.  ;)

I think you meant grams...which would put her at 8.3 lbs.  Pretty big baby...wtg.

Congratulations Nilsen! Just a trick to getting through the first year or so. Stay up late and go to work early. That way the Mom understands that you put in just as much work with the baby while she gets some sleep until that after midnight phase in the first year. After that you are home free unless you don't duck and cover and make number 2...Boy I was only 12 years from being home free till the second one came around...Now its back to 18 years all over again. :D I wouldn't trade being a father for anything in the world...I hope you didn't look because that changes the outlook on things quite a bit.

Congrats on the new arrival. You have no entered parenthood. One of the first casualties in this time is a full nights sleep. Be prepared to be awakened at least once a night for the next 2 to 4 months.  :)

Thx everyone... Im still on a "cloud" but i guess ill come down soon enough...... Its wierd but i got a full 6 hours sleep on the first night :)

Its a good thing that i work from home so i get to be around all day. We have a rule tho, during work hours i must not be disturbed in my quiet "office" part of the house so i get  to retreat when ive had "enough" :D

Btw. she is named after My gf's best friend who brought us together some 13 years ago. She has been one of our closest friends all the way and helped us through some of the difficult times a couple goes through over the years.

good luck keeping that rule alive for more than 2 weeks,  you'll have a changing table installed in your office in a couple months.

what happened next is a blur, but when i woke up she said "dont you never ever post a pic of my baby girl on that bbs or ill slap you silly with this diper ....ive seen what goes on there and those kids are degenerates and my girl is not gonna have anything to do with them"


as you can guess...i just said "yes honey" and i have a feeling ill be saying that alot from now on ;)

As I watched my boys play soccer yesterday (Soccer Jamboree prior to the season start) I couldn't help but think that it seems like last week that I was changing dirty diapers as they stared at me and giggled from the changing table...today they're little jocks running around the field.
