In the fashion of AH-Skins, AH-Terrains is now online.

Let's centralize our knowledge, files and how to's in one easy to find location.

In order to post or upload/download files, you'll need to create an account and log-on.

Don't worry about space, it isn't an issue. I own the server.

If need be I'll add a drive.

LOL, nothing against Corel, just didn't think of it pushing the site online. :)

Title: Editor How to location

This is slightly off from what you gents have going on here.. but you all seem to be knowledgable...
I would love to learn how to create maps.. etc..
Is there a training aid.. or perhaps manual on how to use the editor.
I have some ideas on a really cool map.. but afraid I do not have the extra time to incorporate a trial and error type of learning curve.

Any constructive remarks or suggestions?

Hiya eta,

An Easy way to start off a map is to use the Bmp2Map program that is avaible to download from AH terrians.  All yaneed to do is is find the template file and draw what you want your map to look like in a grey scale image where white is higher and black is lower.  flat Black (0,0,0) is water.  then base layout is a simple task that is just place a fliad correctly and move on to the next field!

Hope that help you.

Regards,
Skull12

thanks Skull... this will be a starter.. for me..
Obviously it can't be totally difficult.. my problem is I don't have a lot of extra time.. for a long trial and error learning curve.. and still be able to participate online.. lol.. no one wants to sacrifice that.. huh?
does anyone know if any of the guys have a written type tutorial or a step by step how to?

Thanks..
