Title: Easy P51-B upgrade

AH guys,

Can you please change the canopy on the P51-B to the Malcolm canopy.  It wouldn't be much work, and would make it a slightly more viable plane (view).  Plus, I could make a skin for my namesake's P51-B: Major Howard (The Deacon) Hively, as on page 13 of the Squadron/Signal P-51 "Fighting Colors" book!

you mean the B pony is not "viable" enough??

Sorry, Bozon.  Didn't know anyone was attached to the current version.  The "viable" comment referred to the extra hassle of moving the head down every time one flicks a glance to either side, as the frame is right on the horizon.  Not all that important, as you suggest.  

I therefore withdraw the change request, and instead request that they create a variant, identical except with the Malcolm canopy, and perhaps a lesser handicap rating.  

When I post my "The Deacon" side view image from the book, you will perhaps see why I like the look of the Malcolm version.  Will do this tonight.

Clarifications:  By "more viable" I mean that a canopy without frames is easier to use.  Regardless of use of F10.  Since this is the case, I was saying that I personally would not mind a small downward adjustment in what I called the "handicap rating" (possibly associated with the  "ENY" in the on-line Hanger listing).  I'm new to AH, and will learn the correct terminology eventually.  

Again, the main motivation for wanting the P51-B with Malcolm canopy is that it looks good, and also that some of the artwork I would want to do skins for shows P51-Bs with this configuration.

A Malcom hooded B/C would be nice as well for doing the RAF Mustang III.  The England based RAF Mustang IIIs were the first with the Malcom hood and most if not all based there had them.

They did look kinda nice

Ah, that picture the 51 has RATO's under the wings.  Can we have RATOs on the 51's?
