Any of our Albertans want to wager with me on the Sharks/Flames series? How about winner gets a pair of tickets to a regular season game next year?

Well I'd take that bet, except I am an Edmonton fan (and they are done). You see I just can't bring myself to root for the Flamers.
hehe

I've already bought my vote.
Speak up earlier next time. :)
-
OK you're on Nash. Loser buys the winner tickets to a home game by their team next season. Cheap seats are allowed. :)
-
Cool. You're on.
-
I think the Sharks will thrash your silly Canadian team....
-
Well how luscious for you Grun...
-
Lol, imagine a San Jose vs Tampa Bay final? Wow, there's a ratings bonanza.
-
Hehe :D
-
Sharkies vs Lightning would be awesome. Fastest teams in the league. Would be a spectacular series.
-
And all five people watching it would be psyched. hehe.
'tis moot.
Calgary vs Tampa for alla marbles.
-
Yeah as opposed to those huge ratings if the Flames are in the finals. Just here in the Bay Area we have like twice the population of your whole puny province!
-
We are the only Canadian team left... We'll have the entire country watching.
er... which means... it'll be about as many people as the whole entire state of California! :D

San Jose vs Tampa Bay would be a disaster for the league. At least Calgary would have a huge Canadian draw. I know you like your team, but San Jose vs Tampa Bay would not be the desired match up the league wants, no one will watch it.

oh my gosh, Nash is from cowtown....
Go Flames. All hail King Jerome the first!!
-
I'm thinking about moving to Alberta.
-
I have already lost a pack of smokes and a lunch in these playoffs. Funked, as hard as it is for an Edmonton fan, I have to pull for the Flames.
As an Edmonton fan I must not vote on the evil team to the South so you'll have to take the tickets from Nash.
-
Cheap seats?
they all cheap in Calgary... pick a game, cept when Montreal, Toronto, or Edmonton are in town, you can get tickets for likely under $40 each...
Toronto... bah... I bet next season is already sold out...

i dont really like hockey...but i do have my fingers crossed for the flames...not as good as the oilers but it will have to do...
-
Sharks in 5. The Team to beat were the Aves. Now that we've sent Foresberg back to Europe this series be should easy.
Sharks are high odds to win, not even worth the bet.. $100 bet just to win $140......
Sharks vs Aves made me some nice cash, and highblood pressure when we lost that 2nd overtime.
-
Dream on, shark boy!
-
Albertans? I shop there all the time. Great produce!

Just read a city vs city comparison.
San Jose pop. 925,000 Calgary pop. 951,000
*** the "bay area". :)

Yes, but we have more guns.
I'm in for that bet Funked, you and your fish are going down in 6!!!
(FYI, my cousin Mark Smith plays for the Sharks.)
-
City limits are arbitrary. If you go 50 miles out of SJ to the N or NE, the population density doesn't really change.
If you go 50 miles out of Calgary in any direction, either sasquatch eats you or you end up tied to a tree squealing like a pig.

OK, Gman and Nash are takers. I'm going to have to end the betting here, as I am not that rich.
Thanks in advance for the tickets. :D
PS Mark Smith rocks. Very tough guy. Not a goon, though he'll drop the gloves if he has to. Just a very tough, skilled player.

Ya, the family is super excited, he was the leading scorer for 2 years in the WHL and won the Memorial Cup, now he's just a grinder in the NHL, but he's got "heart".
I can't wait for this series, Vancouver/Calgary was nuts, we stole the Detroit series....this should be some of the best hockey we'll see for a long time.
GO FLAMES GO!
Hah: When we won game 6 a few days ago, we had people everywhere in the streets. Somebody even drove their car backwards down the bar strip! We may actually have a fistfight or two downtown if we beat the Sharks.

Wouldn't have it any other way. Er except for the Ozark thing... that's a distinctly Southern sport.
Speaking of... I've been all over that area and I saw some pretty messed up **** which I'll keep to myself so I don't offend anyone from there. But geezus.....
Now fending off Sasquatches, like Hockey, is a man's sport. Most of the time, tossing them a beer is enough to placate the bastiges. If they don't bite, game on. (Yeah yeah I know I've read the signs: "Don't feed the Sasquatches beer.".... Save it.
