is the place for me!
Just sitting here with all my doors and windows open letting the night breeze cool the house. Stars light the clear sky and all I can hear is a 2 whipporwhills singing out in the pasture. I will never live in the city again.:D

I live within a mile of an international airport. Complete silence is freaky :)
9/11 and the day after was also weird. I felt the non-presence of aircraft.. odd.
I would love to live elsewhere for a while. Cities certainly suck at times, but htey also have their advantages. I can't stay away for too long. :)

Was exactly the opposite when I lived in Alexandria, VA. Being that close to National, we never heard aircraft. Late on 9/11, heard an aircraft fly overhead and that was a first. I was out of the building like a shot.

Head to the country with native New Yorkers and be prepared to head right back home pronto. The quietness literally throws them into panic attacks and I aint exagerating at all. You should see it.

Before I moved back out here I lived right next to Bell Helicopter. I forgot how loud quiet can be. :)
