That looks superb :aok
It immediately makes me want to learn to fly the 109 - never have really got into it before - but now ................
-
BRAVO! :aok

That is sharp. Is the spinner accurate or is that still one of those unchangable items with the models?

PS: you've got my mail with the gridlines ?
-
Airmess,
Yes I got your mail and borrowed (stole :)) your side engine "bumps".
Charon,
I can't change the spinner.

submit it submit it friggin awsome!
-
oh oh small note,
on the transparency of the markings, make sure the camo behind them is one color such as the light grey so you dont see camo coming through.
dosnt have to be to very edge per say but enough to keep from getting the change in color on the semi transparent marking.
-
you could even mask the marking then switch to the camo layer and smudge the camo beneath it to get a good effect and erasre any possible demarcation lines in the marking.
-
Great job, Batz. Very impressive. Fester is right, submit it. Too many of these skins aren't being submitted.
I wish I could do something like it (heck, I'd be satisfied to not have my effort look like a 5 year old's sloppy first try).

also theres a cool trick you can do on the tail below the horizontal stabilizer and elevator...
shadow.
draw a marqee box angled back from the underside of the hstab and elevator on the fuselage and copy and paste it.
use a large brush and burn the area with darkest burn right below the hstab and progressively less burn as you move further down.
its a very convincing trick and gives much realism to the tail.
also since its a separate layer you can even vary the actual transparency of it to your tastes to get the desired effect.
heres an example on the tail of this simple 256x256 skin...

Batz .. i told you to take out of that template whatever you need. I don't give a dime on the issue "that is is strictly my template" ... they sould all be our templates, so we can share and use it to make a better "game" out of it.
So dont worry

Thanks for the feedback Cit, it all makes sense.
I submitted my D9 and other G-6 and got a reply from Skuzzy saying they have and are looking at it. I dont know when/if they will be available for everyone.
I working on 2 109F-4s now but there's an issue with "mirroring". On the G-6 the area on the left side below the cockpit isnt mirrored. On the upper left hand side of the the template is the right side section below the canopy. This was because of the heart on the original default g-6.
On the F-4 the left side is just mirrored. The problem is the fuel fill cap on the F-4 was under the rear of the canopy on the left side.
If I put the fill cap there and the B4/87 fuel decal are mirrored as well. This is a rather large fill cap and its not like it would go un-noticed.

I wish this area wasn't mirrored and just like the g6..... :)
-
maybe add the cap but not the 87 decal?
dunno
-
Update, more opacity with the markings and added tail plane shadows...

I might have to do that but it is still fairly obvious and jumps out at you when you see it...

looks great :)
