I can hardly see the ground vehicles from the air, I have mipmapping enabled checked and disable paletized textures unchecked. Do these have any effect on being able to see the ground vehicles??? My squaddies seem to be able to pick them right out and I can't see them. My frame rates are at the monitor refresh rate of 75 always and I run the game at 1280x1024 the same as the desktop. Thnx

I don't know if those things effect it but I do believe icon range is lower for GVs. That being said I don't thats what you meant.
When I pick out GVs at distance, how far I don't really know because there is no icon, it looks like an ant crawling on the floor at the other side of the room. I look for those tiny moving dots. Of course GV color might help sometimes and looking in the right spot helps. Display the GV spawn points and look between there and the town or field because that's the route most used.
I also run at 1280x1024.

I think having your res set to that high may hinder you in finding GVs along the ground. High res means everythings going to be much smaller for the most part. Running at lower screen res may allow you to pick up things further away because it will apear to be much bigger.

Ya I know what ya mean ants, those itty bitty little red stingin ants heheh, good point on the res Morph. I was hoping there was a video setting that would enhance the objects against the textures, anyways sounds like I just gotta keep real sharp eye out and look harder
thnx for the replys

Yup with my new rig and higher resolutions I also "feel" that gvs are harder to find then on my older PC.
Yes, they are ants but before they had a slight "flash" to them and now they just seem to blend in much better--regardless of map, textures, skins.

Go in and bump your gamma up....they will "shine" for you then, just dont' bump it too high or your gunsight will be faded and hard to see.....noticed this little trick when flying at Knight....

Koda, will try the gamma. Thnx for the advice
