"This is a test of the Emergency Trolling System. The trollers of your area in voluntary cooperation with the Federal, State and local authorities have developed this system to keep you informed in the event of a troll. If this had been an actual troll, the post you are reading below would have been followed by official information, news or instructions. This concludes this test troll of the Emergency Trolling System."

Sooooo transparant. But I'll play anyway as I'm on a conf call and it's putting me to sleep....
Why are some people so naive in thinking that they (Joe Public)would be in any way shape or form a benefactor to the US/UK controlling Iraqi oil?
Have all of you neo-con capitilists gone all softy-socialist suddenly?
The buck stops at the top. The oil $$$ does not trickle down for the rich are greedy and self serving. They don't get more powerful wealthier by giving it away to the masses for nothing.
Fret not though. Pump prices will come down when it becomes necessary to buy more votes.

Uhh, the lefties said this war was for oil, Westy.
The next generation of Berkeley peaceniks gathered on the steps of City Hall Tuesday to demonstrate their opposition to a pending war in Iraq- after school, of course. Armed with protest signs, microphones, and Harry Potter lunch-boxes, elementary and pre-school children demanded city leaders contact President Bush and halt his hawkish "war for oil."

But...but...wouldn't that trickle down work if they could lower the cost of fuel before the election?! We all know power means more than money, right?! ;)

"Uhh, the lefties said this war was for oil, Westy."
I also think it has been. But hello it's not about oil for YOU or oil for ME.
oh. Do you consider paying $5 less per tank for several weeks "trickle down" while several heads of corporations make millions and millions more? That's not trickle down, that's comtempt.

JEBUS....3.11 for gas.. :rofl
-
To please Airguard I've made a Euro version
(no I didn't bother to check the maths :D)

Give the people the 200,000,000,000.00 (200 billion big number isn't it.) in gas subsidies and then lets see where the price of gas is at....
we save here on gas but then we expend here on warfare whaaa.. sounds like fuzzy logic to me..
200,000,000,000 for "bring out the gimp" doesn't seem like a good economic trade off to me...
oh and btw we have a new record deficit @ 46 billion, note thats a 3.9 billion increase since feb.. lets go team....

Exactly. Just like the non OPEC countries sell their oil for the same price as the OPEC countires, and adjust production accordingly. Just like the oil industry has reduced refining capacity to get rid of pesky overcapacity (not in it's best corporate interest), even though it leads to extreme price volitility (higher street prices and higher profits upstream) whenever the infrastructure has a minor glitch.
Now, Rip may be pushing for a regulated market with price controls as part of one of Nash's hidden hijack things.

Ahhh, that's how the double post happens.

It would be kinda hard to hide something like that from the shareholders and the press. The economics are fairly straightforward and plenty of people monitor them -- all the more reason to vote someone out of office even for Republican supporters. Why bother when you can just blame it on OPEC anyways.
