Has anyone tried this yet?

I wonder how it stacks up to the X45. The buttons seem a bit awkward at first look.

looks interesting, but its a twisty stick?

No worries I would use my CH rudder peds.

Yes, it would seem a twisty. No worries, use pedals :)
It doesn't seem to have potentiometers ("non-contact"):
Precision centering mechanism, non-contact technology on X and Y axes and constant spring force reduce free play, improve control and increase durability.
I think the display will be a great addition; I only use one mode on my X45 since I don't remember the button mappings in the other modes :)

Looks great. There's a crying need for something between the cougar and the el cheapos. I always thought the x45 was too light though (having tried one in a shop)

Yes the X45 is a bit too light so I built a swivel mount for mine. Now it doesnt have the tendency to roll over when I get very involved. It is great for the price.

That's why they invented duct tape :)
What's this X52 going to cost? I took a brief look
at the site but didn't research further.

A thread on AGW:
http://agw.warbirdsiii.com/bbs/showthread.php?s=&threadid=33355
contains a reference to a WW2O squadron forum referring to a post on the WW2O public forums that says that the X52 will cost $125 and be out in the August-September timeframe.
Is that convoluted enough for ya?

Guess that means it won't have weary potentiometers.
