Is there still a war plan for Iraq? Seems the Bush administration is just managing the war from crisis to crisis and that any plan was lost long ago along with the hope of finding WMD.
WMD's have to wonder how such a major error can go without someone being held accountable and fired. Or does that have to wait till November?

They had a war plan allright, they only forgot to construct a viable, structured approach for the aftercare and transition to a more or less normal state of affairs.
BTW, why would there be need for a 'War plan'? The war is over, Boosh said so himself during his pathetic carrier picnic...

.
Ahh, they had a structured approach, and the aftercare was going to be conducted by Iraqis. The transition was interrupted. Kinda tough to do considering insurgents were blowing up Iraq police stations killing hundreds in feb/march this past year, don't you agree?

Who would have thought Iraqi's would want to kill Americans after we got there?

It was a botch job from the beginning.
Forget the bull**** reasons for invading in the first place for a moment they still attacked withouth the world support that existed in '91, Rumsfield also ignored warnings about the size of the forces that would be needed to do the job, they evidently had no provisions for controlling the country after the collapse of the Iraqi military and obviously no credible plan for the occupation.
IMO they were delusional in thinking that they would be cheered and praised by the Iraqi's and the rest of the Arab world as the liberators in Paris back in '44 were.
The occupation has been all thumbs. Failed to suppress the remnants of the Iraqi military or incorporate them for the rebuilding, failure to close (by force or negotiation) the borders to keep outside agitators away and they've done everything possible to ruin the little good will they had built. They tossed away any chance for a smooth transition this June that's for sure.
All of which says to me that the administrations conconcted a lie sucked in by many people that invading Iraq was to "save" the people and to create an Arab democracy as a lie.

Define "Iraqi's". Insurgents, and Saddams Special Units dispersed into the civilian population....yes, we knew they'd want us dead.

There are news about Al Sadr having a meeting with the "old wise men" (??) to elaborate an agreement and, I hope, a ceasefire.
Maybe something is moving.
News said he asked for more space for the (his) dissonant voices in the construction of the future Iraq.
He want a slice of the cake, I guess.
