Title: frustrating
Post by: killnu on May 13, 2004, 06:13:26 AM
each time i log into AH2, i  have to copy gunsights and cursor bmps from AH1 folder to AH2 folder.  why?  i got all the downloads, and when i had to do this more than once, i went back and redownloaded the whole thing.  i still dont have any sounds either.  no gameplay sounds like, engines, guns firing, pings, stall horn, but i can hear vox chatter just fine.  can anyone help?  what info if any is needed?  thank you in advance.

You're going to have to start from the beginning and explain the problem.  You're saying what you've had to do but you haven't said what caused you to do that.

KillnU ...

I would completely uninstall AH II.

Then download the FULL install and run the install.

Once the install is complete, copy/paste your ...

\settings
\sights
\sounds

... directories from AH I to the \Aces High II directory.

This should work.

ill try that slapshot, ive done that once already tho, and still these problems.  but, ill give it a go.

Hi

Checkout your firewall settings. You must give a permit for AH2 aceahigh.exe to connect to the internet.

What soundcard are you using?
If it's a soundblaster live, you might have some fancy sound effects turned on? This can mute gun and engine sounds in AH1. Not sure about AH2.
