Title: On a friendly note
Post by: storch on May 14, 2004, 07:24:26 AM
Last night I was really looking forward to the pre-announced "Big Strike" that was being orchestrated by Col. Stream.

I was really disappointed when by 2230 there was no real coherent allied opposition present in the Combat Theater.

While I had a fun time regardless it probably would have been better had the planned mission gone off.

Let the call go forth through all the virtual CT land (all 30 of us)  The allies are severly demoralized and new dynamic organized participation is required.  Or else the virtual air war will be lost.

And that friends would truly be a shame.

(I wish I really did have friends but I'm a social retard)

I put a thread up saying that I wanted to do something... Sunday night plans were made... and I waited for replies to the thread I started.  I was going to send the orders out to Hawk but there wasn't enough guys to do something when the time came.

Honestly we have lost a lot of pilots in the 325th, a lot of the "old" squadmates...  so I don't know what is going to happen to the 325th in CT in the near future... Just seems like flying the CT is a job and not that fun anymore, maybe I need a break from AH... who knows what is going to happen... I just can't leave my guys... they mean to much to me.  Maybe something will happen this week on this Set up...  Personally I am not real big on set ups with jets or rockets... but to each their own...

I ended up not being able to stay long myself. Between my real airplane project and the wife "expecting", my AH days may be cut short.  Not only that and what stream said but the late model F4Us in the CT just dont exist!

Awesome video clip Stream.  Thanks for sharing that.  All I was saying is that the guys that favor the allied side of the airwar once again have well organized, spirited and intrepid opposition.  It might be fun, if you can manage to kill us.

Storch leaves in a JG3 dress "never to return." Storch returns in a JG54 one. Fooled us all, he did. :D

The only image I have in my head now is Hawk spinning his wife around in a chair trying to get the baby-to-be used to fluctuating g-forces. :D

Arlo why is it you go after the person , instead of debating the idea? Be it Storch , Bug , me , or anybody else. We may be expressing our likes, or dislikes. Be it a setup, or mechanics of the sim. You never seem to  be able just to debate the issue. Your only abilty seems to be attack the person , not address the debate it'self.

Now I know you'll come back with one of your long replies , full of insults , and barbs towards me. Go ahead.... I've noticed  Storch has been able to ignore you, and I'm going to try and do the same. Your act is getting stale.

Hey Lowe,

I just put him and the other guy (I forgot his handle but he's in VF 27) on my ignore list and *poof* no more polemics with them.  who needs it?  just plow around that old stump.  It ain't no big thing.

What?  Arlo has been been attacked time and again for "debating ideas". Why should he cut slack to anyone who never did the same? I think you misinterpret Arlo's responses. 99% of the time they have one of those goofy :D  or ;)  behind them. Arlo is a good dude who knows this is just a damn game unlike a certain squadmate of yours. Storch and Arlo have shown me their true colors. Trust me, Arlo is not that big a problem. He wants a nasty personel grudge about as much as you do. Remember this when we are all having a few cold ones in Grapevine in Sept laughing about how assed up we get sometimes.

Wow, isnt the new and improved Storch just dandy? So glad he has turned over a new leaf.( or got new meds) Let us all now forget his constant boo hoo bull**** about how God awful this game is, the Allies are out to get him, HiTech can kiss his ass, the weekly reminders about IL2, dont adress me on the BBS,Arlo and I are cowards in "real life" and we had better stear clear of him. Lets now pretend that didnt happen and "other people" are the problem.  Keep up your ignore the bad people policy( yeah right:rolleyes: )  Ill give you another 30 days before you have a relapse and the whole world is against you again.

no more polemics with them.

Good idea, it wasnt one of your strong points.

Slash27 is the other guy.  Anyway who can get annoyed when you read "This person is on your ignore list"  works wonders.

In fairness I saw that Arlo was on in the MA on Sunday so I PM'd him with a friendly greeting and he was only mildly offensive.  I welcomed him back and he thanked me.  There may yet be hope.

In any event we don't really need to be chasing each other out of the CT do we?  There are so few of us.  So Arlo if you decide to come back into the CT, I welcome you warts and all.  I'm sure lots of other players feel that way also, not that I think they think you are warty.  Could you see your way clear to do the same for me, my warts and all?

Peace

Did I offend you? And here I thought we were both being funny. As far as chasing out of the CT goes .... methinks you're giving yourself too much credit, again. But hey, that's ok too. Chances are you'll have plenty of opportunities to find me mildly to extremely offensive in the future. But it really won't be my fault, warts or otherwise. I've never seen you as more than a potential target and a helluvalot of buffer text. Thanks for the warm reception, dear. :D

Piece!

The Governor has granted you and slash27 a temporary stay as we review your "humor".  a permanent stay may be granted once it passes the JG54 Humor commitee and further review by the Gunfighter's Squadron Humor Review Board which will have final and binding say in the matter.  Stay tuned.

Well they must have a sense of humor ... they accepted you into their ranks. ;)

(For extra credit. You're not on the "JG54 Humor commitee" by any chance? I mean, actually having a sense of humor would probably be required, right?) :D
