Well I flew with the Rooks most of the week. Switched back to Knights today not to long after reset of Maps. I had a great time with em and especially Pipz and ChainGn. I was going to give the Bish a try but after seeing a guy on the bish side and the way he was ranting on CH1 I changed my mind. AND before any BISH get started , no I don't lump you all in that box. I'm sure your all real sad RedTop won't fly for Bishes
Couple of obeservations....
Rooks do seem a lil more organized at times than Knights do. Even when they are fuballing they seem to be better organised. If that makes sense.
They seem a lil more team oriented as well. More effort in watching eachothers back. And mind you I didn't fly with many that were around their squaddies either. Just a few guys the were working well together.
Anyway...Rooks seemed pretty cool side to fly for and I will again probably next week. Again I'm sure that makes you all excited to know.:rolleyes:

Was nice to have you Red Top. I have flown for every country for extended periods and Rooks are the most fun to fly for by far. It's hard to exactly quantify the reason but there's alot more check sixes, clearing of 6's, and general comraderie on Rooks than the other two countries. From a fighter pilots perspective Rooks are where it's at to be sure. I'm not sure how Rooks 'feel' to a buff driver or gv jock, but if I want to mix it up in a fighter Rookland is where I want to be....

LOL Yeah SlapShot... GO AHEAD Slap... tell them what we encounterd last night near 147 or there abouts on teh trinity map. Tell him!
About a dozen or so 20K spits. A 20k hurrican. Multiple 18+k Niks. All of which we were looking up at shaking our heads in disgust.
Its even better when they die tho... "Nice HO" :lol is all they can say because they are still very light headed from that blood lose due to the cronic nose bleeds. Its always Funny tho to see a SpitV come Rocketing past your canopy compressed and augering into the ground.... but "Nice HO"! anyways LOL

We only flew together for a short time but I'm sure you'll be back. We Rooks, well we're just like that. Its hard to stay away for too long. I know I've tried. Went to the nights for a while to fly with some really great guys over there but I just feel at home with the Rooks. (Even tho during the day the can drive me nuts!) And you fit right in bud:aok Great wingman and were always there when someone needed ya.

Bishes are definatly the Highest of the 3. I fought mainly Bishes as my old squad was knights and I didn't really want to shoot em. I did a couple times. Hated it..but..happens.
I found the the Knights were for the nmost part about the same as Rooks as far as alt fights go. I was co alt or maybe a lil higher in most fights I had with Knights. A few Alt Monkies but most..12-15k and lower.
MOST fights with Bishes...Ya spent more time climbing to STILL be 5 k under em. Man those guys get WAY up there. Perfect example was , since I fly mainly late or early , not much prime time , I went to get coffee..A bite to snack on..and come back to find my Spit V at 22k. I was like...Geebus I'll never find anyone here....I see a couple dots on dar in Bish area and go to check em out. Thought to myself..."Yeah Red you can BnZ these guys now even in a V" NOTTTTT...I was below them by about 4 k. a Pony and a 190. Took forEVER to get em worked down to like 15k.
Saw this lil scenario quite a few times from Bish.

Thanks Morph thats nice of you to say Bud:)....I enjoyed it and picked a tip or 2 up from you watching you. DANG you can get busy.:eek: You and Lazer...and Yeah..I'm sure I'll fly with you guys some more. Knights have been where I have flown most of my time in AH. But I have met some really cool guys on the Rooks side. Pipz , Chain and I had a great time flying. Pipz and I have shot at oneanother alot of times. He's a class act.
Did meet a guy last nite named Doom on teh Bish side..He was nice..Good flyer as well. Had some good fights with him.

Yup, Bishop's are definately the alt monkey extreme of the MA, but they still have one problem that foils their substitution of altitude for talent & skill ploy. Eight out of 10 Bish can only fly the La7, however, as we all know, the La7 ain't too great at 25k.;) But, then we realise Bish ain't too smart and it all makes perfect sense. :rofl

I personaly love the Rooks. Its not because they fly hi or low or Furball or strat. Its because of the squads and individuals that fly rook.
Glad you enjoyed your time with the Rooks, your welcome back when ever you have the urge :)

An alt monkey I can beat the majority of the time.
However, what the rooks do that really piss me off is fly the La7 heavily. I haven't seen it out of the bishops and I haven't seen it out of the knights.
I swear to god that if they slapped a 10 point perk value on the La7 half the rooks would quit in protest.

Glad you came by rooks for a visit Red Top. Don't get too down on the bish, they have some really good guys over there too. In fact, all 3 sides are stocked w/ good dudes. Bish have the 418th Horntes however. This is a collection of really nice guys but they tend to come in bunches and w/ lots of alt. I'm not knocking this, if they fly together as a squad they probably have better results and more fun but they do tend to fly high.

Ahh I'm sure the Bishes are ok...Really have enjoyed fighting Jaxxo and DOWTroll...really cool guys and good fighters. I enjoy flying against SlowHand...He friggin kills me every time.
These guys in particular seem real cool. Doom was lots of fun..Good sense of Humor as well.

..because when I visited I was forced to wear one of those yellow raincoat things with the wittle pointy hood.
Haven't had a use for it since I left.

put 50 perks on it. I'll still land kills in it. It's an easy plane to get used to, whilst being flown wrong by more than 1/2 of the MA.
and like the song says: "The wheels on the bus go round and round". All countries use the plane excessively.

What the rooks got is what no other country has yet (knits are getting it.)
about a year, year and 1/2 ago the rooks were outnumbered 3-4 to 1 every day for about 6 months.. As a result of getting run thru that gauntlet we have more aces.. (I know youll flame this but its true)
The bish will never attain the same level due to their horde tactics and their complete reliance on the horde...(not to say they dont have aces, but lemming horde will dull even the sharpest skill set.) Thats why when the bish outnumber the other 2 countries they fight to a stalemate as where you give the knits and especially the rooks that numerical advantage there is usually a reset depending on the map...
some may take offense to this; but truth always hurts the most...
Problem I see over time though is if knits keep getting beat down you may see some exodus to help them out and of course they are developng aces of their own..(baptism by fire) In time I see them becoming stronger.. Much like the rooks got when we got fubared..

Very well put and accurate. The camp to camp country statistics bear you out as well. Knight stats are constantly improving even while being consistantly outnumbered. Rook stats are also improving but by a smaller margin, Rook country stats are very high relative to the other two, so as a country there may be little room left for much improvement. Bishop statistics on the other hand are growing from bad to worse every camp as your observations would predict.

That IS strange isn't it?? It always seemed as though whenever we looked up at an NME con it was a Rook at 10K+. Now that we are Rooks when we look up its Knights and Bishops!! Thing is, as the 13TAS, we don't normally fly much over 6K unless forced to so maybe THATS the issue!!
