But the final battle when the Germans attack the train station after the GI's bring the train back is the best!

This one bloody sneaky bastard german hid in the bushes for the 2pm event on Saturday and got me, and then again on Sunday.

What are you guys doing?

Recreating a train ambush and waiting?

Ok heres what we did,

Civilians (Spectators) boarded the train with working passes, we had a partisan try and board the train with a grenade but gets discoverd and runs like hell towards a german line of troops, cause well he's got no where else to go, and then a german whips out his semi-automatic weapon and unloads a clip at him as the german army flys toward the ground.

Us Partisans lie in wait near the train track and blow the tracks.

Germans unload some men, they get slaughterd by 6 partisans wielding rifles and a revolver.

GI's come running to investigate the shooting since they have just taken the train station.

Then farther down the line the GI's ambush the train and take it over with the officers and general on board.

(The germans disembark and drive back to the Train Depot to prepare for the final fight. As along with the Partisans who are already there since the first engagement.)

The partisans set up along the train depot and wave to the train and shout Viva La France, and give the Victory sign, (The specs. ate that up.)

Well the train stops, civis disembark and the GI's and Brit Paras disembark and run up because there is a squad of germans (Or an anti-tank gun, and MG42 on Saturday) about to attack the train depot.

The Partisans run up and flank the germans on the left flank.

American Jeeps drive up and unload at the germans with M1's and pistols. .50cals woulda just ruined the thing cause the germans woulda been slaughterd.

Big fight insues we rough up the germans, kick them around, and lay french flags over there dying comrades.

Then the crowd applauds and we do some prisoner taking action and crap and then talk with people who want to talk with us.

:).

A Fun Day(s).

from what I'm told, that would make your reenactment very authentic.

when my father would talk about his time at war (and he had a lot of it), it seems there was a lot of time spent hurrying your bellybutton off, just so you could wait in a new, more uncomfortable, spot.

The waiting around involved, coke, making sure people park in the right area, and telling people, no there is not another train.. :lol

I'm back!
