Thanks mate... yep it says what I heard, no DDR from Intel til 3/4 qtr 2001:
"we will take advantage of DDR, after introducing a single-data-rate SDRAM chipset [for Pentium 4] next year."

"Otellini didn't address contractual issues related to its agreement with memory-interface designer Rambus Inc. that preclude Intel from fielding a DDR-enabled chipset until 2003. "

RAMBUS have a big stick over Intel (including Intel owning part of them).

Who knows, maybe they'll pay VIA for something :-)
