Title: Jousting warp

i guess som1 already posted this..but heres mine..


every few fights i run into the JOUST....when the joust gets close..1.4k ..i get screen freeze..then Jouster appears at 400yds..then past me..


happens only when jousting....


well everyonce in awhile when i look outside canopy ..sideways or side back view..i also get a freeze..usally for a second or two..


other then that..its is running pretty dam smooth..

NICE FRIKN JOB!!!...big improvemnets since the mid range betas..even with my vid card..weeeeeeeeeeeeee

I'm not sure what you mean by "joust", but I see about thew same things as you describe.

could be due to a weak graphic card, since the problem was much worse yesterday with lots of planes and smoke. frame rates droped to ~16 and fluctuating.

GeForce II 32 Mb

Bozon...I was playing with a GEForce 2 32 mb card until last night.  AHII had disappointing frame rates and I got a lot of the freezes you mention.  Last night I installed a Radeon 9600 XT (128 mb) card.  Frame rates drastically improved, but I still got freezes...just as I was about to nail some one.  After the freeze cleared (maybe 2 -5 seconds), he was right behind me and nailed me.  

So I would say the freezes are not only due to your vid card, but you will see much improved frame rates with a better card.  It was certainly worth it to me to updgrade, which I did specifically for AHII.  After the great play in AHI, I wouldn't have been satisfied with the performance from my old GeForce 2 card in AHII.  It would have made the game almost uplayable, but you might want to wait until AHII goes live and the bugs are mostly fixed.

I had that problem also, but I updated my video drivers and the freezing/pauses stopped completely
