"video controller intergrated intel 3d extrem graphics"

this means you have onboard (intergrated ) graphics built into your mainboard . (this can be disabled in the bios and a video card added on most of the faster pc's)

ok the "Brown " slot is the AGP port/plug in slot
If you have one of these u can add a agp type video card to your system .

The "White" slot below it is a pci port/plug in slot
if you only have these you have to use a PCI type video card .
(note: not all pc's are compatable with running a video card in this port)

if you open your pc case and get the mainboard part number off of it and post it here we can try to help.

I guess you already figured out which is the AGP slot, I just have a few things to add....

1. ALWAYS ground yourself (touch the metal part of the case) while working inside the computer.

2. allow at LEAST 1 hour of cool off time before opening the case.

3. With Intel chipset based MOBOs you don't need to disable anything in the BIOS (which you get to by pressing F2) Windows will detect the AGP slot and use it.

4. If it is an intel chipset, then you need to configure how much memory your card has in the BIOS, b/c it just says 64MB

5. Download the latest drivers for your card, always a good idea.

6. make sure that you properly seat the card, I.E. it snaps into place, or else it might shortcircut.

7. Don't tighten the screw too much (i mean over-doing it) or you might crack something.

8. The first time you use it, make sure your case isn't overheating... Vidcards add a lot of heat.

The AGP slot is the part of the computer that enables punctuation.  You obviously don't have one.

I have an AGP slot but it does not have a notch on the end. How can I tell what type of AGP slot do I have. By the way my comuter is 3 years old now. Pentium 3 600mhz(not the fastest one I own but it has good framerates for AH1).

Jet, grammar and punctuation are two distinctly different things.

A period ( one of these funny little marks   .   ), is a punctuation mark. It is just one of many little marks we can use, and make what we write easier to follow and understand.

Grammar on the other hand is how we put the correct words together to make an intelligent sentence and / or paragraph.

Here is an example of poor punctuation and grammar:

"Hey MaddogWX you are saying that i got bad grammer. You didnt even put a period at the end of the senteces. One suggestion check yourself before you reck yourself."

Here is how that statement might look if I employ a bit of grammar and proper punctuation:

"MaddogWX you say that I have bad grammar, yet you did not put a period at the end of your sentence. I suggest that you check yourself, before you wreck yourself."

You may have the quotation marks, the comma's and the periods in the example above, as I am quite finished with them.
Hopefully you will get many opportunities to use them in the future.

My gift to you;)

RTR

Hello jetb123,

It is rod64 here...remember me? You are the first person I met when going online in AH1. Thanks for making my first visit fun. Seems now I like it so much that I will sign up for the monthly thing.

Anyway, good luck getting anything in cards for a PCI slot these days. Almost all cards now are AGP (2x 4x or 8x). They are simply faster than PCI will ever be.

I will join your 101 Airborne mate...come to think of it, I thought I already did join...dunno what happened to it though?

Nice flying with you:p

I know you did but you quit the squad and then went rooks. It might have been a mistake. Our squad plays for bishops so you have to fly for that country to be in squad.
