This is not a flame fest or a poking contest.
I want to know from experience. What's the most realistic and hardest WWII flight sims they have ever played other than ACES HI.

Oner of my all time favorites is an oldie.. 1942: Pacific Air War. Great graphics (for the time), great AI (after a patch as I recall) and just an all around challenging and fun sim.

There's only really two that can compete for top dog right now...AH and WBs. With all the problems in WBs right now, I'll take AH thank you (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif).

other than that (the best sim in ages, wonder why? (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)), I'd say EAW. I like it a lot.

Aces over Europe. Aces over Pacific were bit easy, but AOE was a real challange.

The hardest was Aces over Europe. Damn, was it hard to tell friendlies from enemies or what?
Its not WW-2, but Su-27 Flanker. Thats the hardest flight sim ever.
God, I still haven't figured out how to beat missles fired at me, or destroy SAM sites before they get me.
And the cockpit is written in Russian Crylic and metric units. "NP" with the N written backwards....argh....is that the cue to shoot or not?
Hans.

Dawn of Aces right after HiTech gave us the 'rotary' effect, the last great fix for DoA before he left IEN. Wouldn't you know it, about a month or two later they 'greatly' reduced this, because it was to hard for the 'newbies' to take off without ground looping and they were falling out of the sky left and right spining to there death, it was very difficult to recover a Camel in a spin, but not impossible :P.
Fortunately, AH went beta within 2-3 months, and I've never looked back......
I still think they 'dummbed' down the torque to muchin Aces tho when 1.04 came out. Oh well, guess we have to compromise for keyboard rudder users.......
