Title: Occassional Screen Freezes

I don't think it is really a bug but, experiencing occassional screen freezes which lasts for a second or so.  Otherwise it is smooth, Beta 34 is better than 33.  It's probably when a new object comes into view.  The last flight was terrible, this happened on deck near V2 in the midst of a furball.  Needless to say, I augered while the screen froze, which lasted longer than usual as well.  Anyway, gonna play with hardware acceleration settings a bit and see how this will affect anything.  Any other ideas on what to do?

CPU: AMD Athlon Thunderbird 2.5GHz
RAM: 512MB
Soundcard: SoundBlaster Live! Value
Videocard: Radeon 9500 Pro
OS: Windows Millenium (Japanese Version) with Dx9.0b
Joystick: TM Cougar/RCS

Aces High Setup:
Video Res.: 1280x1024
Color Dep.: 32bit
Max Frame Rate: Unlimited

Several had screen "blueouts". I had this once. Bringing up the clipboard then putting it away cleared it right up.

Today with Beta35, it was bad... frame rate went down to 5 or less and freezes lasted longer.  I managed to keep my plane from augering but it was very difficult.

I am not so sure it's not a bug. I had the same screen freezes back in beta 21 a coupla months ago. My squad had an inter squad fight in the beta arena and freezes were rampant among us, especially in contact with another a/c or multiple a/c.

Your sys is not disimilar to mine either FD..........

I have to admit I have now tuned stuff down..........

Limited FR to 60
Limited texture to 256
Bumb Mapping off
Range 3 miles
Detail 50%
Object size 75%
Textures to load 1


Its a pity that I cant enjoy all the eye candy on offer however air to air combat still shows up the various skins in as much detail as I would expect and that is fun enough.

I now get a rare freeze..... usually in combat or as ack (shells)starts firing ..........I think the textures to load setting should be brought lower.
