Title: Another initialization failed message
Post by: DmdBT on May 22, 2004, 11:55:58 PM
Getting the following message when trying to start AH2:

Initialization failed with -9 mainWLD_failed -1

Re-did the dx9 install and it didn't fix the problem. Ran the dxdiag program and it shows everything is ok.

sound drivers do look a little old, but I haven't used Creative for at least a year or so.

As far as the Processor speed thing goes, you might check for a BIOS update to correct that problem.

Embarrassingly enough, after running out of drivers to install and updates ad nauseum... I did a uninstall of AH2 and installed the 1.35 full download and it now works fine.

The bright side is at least I know everything is current.

... even my processor speed now  :)

Thanks for the suggestions!
