AHII... no way is it gonna run on my puter.. 1.44amd with 64 meg gforce 3.
My plane is invisible except for the guages and gunsite... that sounds cool but so is everyone elses... can't tell which way anyone is going... not that it would make any difference... I am the only one to have a FM... they seem to do just about anything but fly predictably..
My frame rates run about 40-60. the dialog boxes are also transparent so I can't really read em very well. as it gets darker it is really hopeless... ground is a blue and dark checkerboard.
no wep on the FM2.
yak gets outturned by a hog even after 5 or six circles... even tho I really cant see him I see his icon.
all in all... an exercise in frustration with my puter.

First question has to be do you have the latest video drivers for your card installed ?

Doesn't sound like you have the latest video drivers for your card. Left you a post in your other thread.
As far as the FM2 ... Sax is heart-broken and has already spoken up. This was what Pyro said ...
"Yeah, the wep is gone. It could be modeled with or without depending on what engine was modeled. Halfway through the production run, they switched over to a water injected model of the engine that had an emergency power setting. They also revised the fuel tanks at that point and I had the old fuel tanks with the newer engine so I swapped it to the older engine to make it consistent. I also don't have very detailed info on the wep output."
We have Bodhi (squaddie) getting the FM2 specs for us to give to Pyro so he can put WEP back in the FM2.

newest drivers? I talked to a guy in support for "visiontek" and he claimed that I had about as good as I can get and anything later would probly just make things worse. I don't even know what card I have except that it is a gforce 3 at 64 megs... booklet says "visiontek" but gives no model.

Run dxdiag or go to control panel and check out driver.

put the latest nvidia drivers on it 56.xx i think they are and it will work fine .. thats what i did on my gf2 64mb cards
dont use the 40.xx-50.xx drivers they are no good on the non FX cards.

ok... the 56.64 drivers did the trick. the transparent stuff is gone. Wish there were some fights in there to try it out. everyone is even more timid in there than in AHI..
My framerates aren't half bad for such an old machine. did get some freezes early on but they seemed to have went away... but, hard to tell... even with 30 guys on there is very little action.

Glad you got it running Lazs. About what time did you try it out? The arena numbers fluctuate a lot throughout the day. Perhaps the Blue Knights and a few other squads could organize for a scheduled time for testing/furballing? That would get some numbers in there.. possibly a good time.

I have a GF3 64 mb and AHII runs great. 60-80 fps with visual detail almost maxed out. Must be your drivers.

weird, I have an 1.2 amd (2years old) with a 64mb GeForce 2mx and get 29 - 35 FPS, check your drivers.
