I remember seeing someone had posted a website that tells what process's can be turned off and left on for win XP home.

problem is now I need it and I cant seem to find it, do either of you or anyone for that matter have that link handy?

Yea the blkviper thing works real good, but make sure you accurately notate what moves you make.  Especially if you choose to disable the system restore.
