Title: Vid Card

I have a old P3 600mhz,256mb(can upgrade in 30 sec if i want i have more than 1 computer),WinME and I want to get a new vid card. I can run AH2 but frames are at 0 per sec. I have a agp slot in my comuter also. What type of vid card should i get for under 100 bucks...

g2 mx400 anything more would be wasted on that system.

Jay that is a pretty old and low end computer.

PIII and 600Mhz probably jsut wont work for AHII. You are not going to be able to run a high end (or even mid range card) with that system I'm afraid. There just isn't enough processor there.

Also, WinME is not exactly game friendly If I recall correctly.

Does your other computer have better specs? You may be able to update that one instead?

Twould be worth trying an old geforce 2 or 3 in it to see. My work machine is a celeron 800 and has a Geforce FX5200. It runs AH1 tolerably well though i havn't tried AH2 (games machine is XP2000 Radeon 9800 Pro).

I suspect I would start saving up for a newer machine though:(

My other computer in a celeron 700, that can be upgraded to a P3 1.5 mhz. Also no Agp Slot. I used to pay ah1 on this computer but had bad framerates and the vox would freeze my computer.

I just turned 16 and I start my job next week Friday, just so I can buy a new computer.

Then save your money and get a new computer.   Don't waste it on the above system.
