My Movies (http://www.combathanger.com/movies.html)
Airfest Movies (http://www.combathanger.com/airfest2004/airfest2004.html)
You need a good video editor...the best 'on the cheap' Ive found is Sony Screenblast.....friends dont let friends buy Pinnacle! SCreenblast is very affordable at $99 retail and on sale all the time for $69 or so, and offers all the editing you could ever want.
You will also need a sound editor, any piece of crap editor should suffice, all you are doing is editing some sound effects length and such. BTW if you didnt know, you'll be adding your sound in AFTER you are done editing. Sounds are put in at the final stage and are a post production thing (just like real movies), you are not going to use the 'real' as in 'as it happens' sounds. They are just not usable as you edit films together.
Music is a but sticky....I sometimes use music from my CDs...and for my personal use and such here its no big deal....my films arnt popular enough to warrent any attention....however I also use quite a bit of self generated music from soundforge....and thats 100% legal cause I paid for it to be used as such :D
In the end you should have 2-4 'views' of each scene, and cut them together to tell a story.

The ones like that are 40 to 50mb's in size... so if you want them like that I hope you have a lot of bandwidth with your site...
Do you have windows movie maker?

Okay Windows movie maker is a good place to start... After filming your flight... Open it with Film viewer, you want to save it as an Avi... then you need to determine how big you want it and the frames per sec you want it to record at... then it will ask you to save it in a codec... I go uncompressed... then after that is all done then go to movie maker and import it... then you can edit it to the way you want..
That is pretty much the very basics of it... the bigger the res size the length of the avi save is shorter... like 640 x 480 is like under a minute in length... if it is more it will tell you it can't open it in media player or your default avi viewer....
After that you can start getting in more advanced stuff...

Yeah that should be good... anything I think under 64mb GF4 would drag... You can mix music in with Windows movie maker just inport it like you did with the AVI
