Thought I’d jump the gun and give a big hearty salute to whoever resets the current map. The strategic brilliance of putting up 20, 30 plane missions against the lowest number team is breathtaking, worthy of the greatest military minds in history. I’m sure the respective generals agonise over which base to hit, which planes to include, ordnance, how much fuel etc. I’m just relieved that particular burden has never been on my shoulders as I’d probably cop out with 40 P51s with 20k of ord and enough fuel to fly to the moon. Oh wait…
There is no gameplay, no winning, no great tactical minds at work. Its all about numbers, nothing more. Team with highest numbers resets map, simple as that and reduces those with less with mind numbing boredom. 20 bish around you, everyone wants to fight. Catch one alone and its run to nearest friend…I nearly gouged my own eyes out in frustration.

i played for thirty minutes tonight and gave up
i found it more fun to argue with strangers on this BBS than play the MA tonight
You people should find some honour and fly to kill or die, not just to get a 'great score'

Did beta again tonight. Haven't been in the MA in weeks. Set my hair and fire in the fur and pretty much had the best time fightin that I've had in a long, long time. Just about got the new stick setup down.
This is where I ask, played beta yet ??
There be fightin in there..

Course... most of the "fighting" in the AH2 arena is of the same sissified variety that you'll find in the MA.
But then again... fighting hasn't been in vogue for the past two and a half years.... so why should it be any different there?

I disagree. Out of the past month, the best fun, best fights and best comradery has come from AH2 beta. IMHO.
Why all of the whining? Chortle thats not like you. When we come in contact in the MA its always a good experience. And you are never one to whine on Ch1 about how a fight went. Atleast not that I've seen.
For what its worth, (and coming from me it may not mean much to you) you are better than this and what you wrote.
PS- nopoop is a louzy gangbanging Alt monkey Cherry picking horde flying HO luvin ...ubber plane flying furball picking spitweenie! :D

two points... the team with the most numbers "wins" the war and it is allways timid and ugly.
And... poopie and I were in all the same fights in AH2 and I was bored to death.
Urchin is wrong... the fights are even more timid and unfun in AH2

Ah2 kicks ass. Yes there are some gangin dummies in there..and some runners..vulchers...pickers.. etc. Im having a blast with the flight model and graphics. Went back to ma last night..everybase on bish front was vulched by 8 to 10 guys. Every country gets banged on. I said screw it and grabbed a spit 5 and whipped on most of em till their buddies showed up. was semi-fun, no goin home though. Oh well havent really bothered landing kills anymore. Gonna figure out some strategy for dealin with dweebs in ah2 when the horde comes..............Think ill join a squad with the absolute best pilots, stay in a pack of 10, and wait for some some sucker to attack us....where's that p38 thingy at?......

I think the reference to masochism kind of makes it more exciting, how about a 3?
With a little more effort, several whines could have been wrapped up in here, traces of the elements of each are present.
Then it could have been not only a whine, but a whinny.

Well, were we outnumbered? yes. Was fuel porked? yes. Did we get gangbanged at times? yes. But it was fun. There was a fight everywhere we upped from. Part of the fun was holding the guys witht he numbers from resetting. Being chaced by multiple red guys and taking a few down before gettign killed. As long as one does not care much about score having the low numbers is good. Look at it thiss way, you can have your own furball going and as soon as you die, up again and create another one.

LOL I dont understand some folks
I was under the impression that as as fighter pilot you use everything you can to your advantage to shoot down yur adversary. Least that was how it was in real life.
Wildcrds "doom on you" Mantra:
if theres freindly ack nearby and your on my six I'm gonna drag you though it if your dumb enough to follow "doom on you"
If i have a faster plane im gonna extend to get E and alt advantage "doom on you"
If there are friendlies around for you to dodge while i manuever on your six "doom on you"
And if your in a tactically superior position and I can get away to land my kills and reup in a fresh plane ...though titty said the kitty but the milks still goood!

for challenge and fights it's hard to beat the CT. There are usually enough guys on who will fight irrespective of the odds against them.
