Title: Building a gun soon, Any thoughts?

I recently purchased a Caspian 1911 Slide and frame. I dont know if I want to make it a carry gun, target paper punching potato, or a race gun yet. They are built to have the snot shot out of them and keep on going.
Does anyone have anything built off of Caspian? I just wanted to see how they turned out and maybe get a few more ideas in the process.

One more thing. My idea as of now is to go with Target/carry. Put some good, either fixed night sights or a nice set of low profile target sights that make it easier to carry. Race gun, well I dont do much of that kind of shooting but I thought it would be fun to build one. Not practical for me though.

make it a copy of a Kimber eclipse custom or a copy of a Wilson combat.   It won't be as good and it will cost more but it should be fun to do.

Yeah it would be easier to just buy one but I picked this stuff up for next to nothing. 250 for slide and frame. (Apparently the guys was going through a divorce) I really didnt need it but at the time it was just so cheap and I had a pocket full o cash that never sits too long before it starts burning.

Well the college semester is over until next fall. So Im at home now yeah living with mom! lol :D

But I WONT be voting for kerry the cherry anytime soon:D

Buying them is fun. But its only really fun if they are either new and differnt or old and tell a story :)

Other wise building them is more fun :p
