Title: Journey to deep in the heart of texas!
Post by: Pongo on October 08, 2000, 04:42:00 PM
I have returned from the con alive and in one piece. Had to withstand the usual rigorous working over at customs(in the end I had to mention that I knew Fatty personally to get through with all my new flight control gear.)
The whole con was a riot. Thanks to everyone for all the help with stuff- Skuzzy for his help with making my pc micro borg compliant. Indian and Big Jim for the help with configuring my new Saitek gear, Jarbo and Sabre for the drinks, rides and lots of missions!
Gordo and the rest of the FDBs for adhearing to the strict but fair no alchohol in the con room policy.
I hope to go again next year and meet even more of the excellent guys that make up AH.
Been up 32 hours now.
Time for turkey dinner!
<S>
Ps
Pyro thanks for ageeing to put mg213s on the 190A8 and on removing the blower from the SpitIX.
PS PS
HT you should be careful where you pass out. Some unscrupulous person might take some funny pictures of ya....

Pongo was great to meet you. I had a great time there. Tried to meet everyone but some came and went when I was online so I know I didnt meet everyone. Im bad with names so unless everyone wears their badges I would forget most of it. It was a wonderful experience helped alot of people with thier new seitek gear.

LLB wants my jacket but I won it fair and square, maybe next time  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

MarkAT was alot of help him self had to fix jackel's puter and MarkAT came with all the tools.

Jarbo's missions made the hole thing fun nothing like 10 or so B17's flying together gunned to a HQ deep in nme territory.

The 2 speakers we had had some pretty hairy experiences it would be a toss up who was luckiest to be alive enjoyed them both.

I actualy got a guy with a pizza in the freindly con mission. That was fun.

Speaking of Jarbo He says he has some pictures of Ronnie make a fool out of her self when she got drunk, should he post them fess up that he doesnt or keep her in suspense. I was thier when she said I wasnt that drunk was I looking puzzled all the way.
I think keep her wondering its the best torture.  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

To all that came to the Con Nice meeting you all hope to make the next one also. Been fun.

Har!  It was good meetin' everyone there.  Collectively, y'all aren't as geeky as I would have thought!

Seriously, it was a blast and everyone I met struck me as good people.  Which might explain why I felt out of place, but nevermind about that.  Thanks HTC for putting things together, and to everyone (especially Creamo) that didn't make it...

Man, I could go on to a 5 page AAR about the con, but I'll keep it short and sweet....

Nice meeting ALL of you, what a great bunch of fellows!  I understand now why Pyro,HT,Yankee,Ronni,Nate(Go OU) and Superfly are number one in customer service!  A great community of flyers all!  I was very sad to leave sunday afternoon, and I'm looking forward to next years con!

I had a blast.  Great to meet all of you!!

Pongo, I forewarned customs about the new ring of smugglers using PC's as containers for drugs.  Hope you enjoyed the cavity search!
