shouldn't the clipboard kinda shield your eyes from the glare?

yeah.

i think the effect is neat, but somewhat overdone.

i guess sunglasses weren't invented until the 1950's.

The glare here is nice, I'd think the clipboard would block it but I'm sure they have more pressing issues to write code for than that. :D

Anyone here remember HT&Pyro's first ever 3D game (WB2.00)? THAT was some wicked glare! It was removed/reduced drastically in subsequent releases (2.02 or so).

Don't forget extending into the sun, the guy you are roping will not see you and you can see him through the rear, great advantage.

It may be a bit overdone but I couldn't swear to it as I've never flown a plane into the sun. I think it's pretty cool if not a bit hard on the eyes. I have followed planes towards the sun in AH2 and could not see the icons at all (and barely the plane) -- very cool.
