Hades55,
Make sure that your pc dosen't have a worm or virus ! you can get us a free tool called " Stinger "or Avert from McAfee.com
Try running DX Diag and see if all is ok their . Also try reinstalling nvidia drivers and then DX 9 b again . The new nvidia drivers for the FX cards do work with DX9 b. Make sure that the old drivers are completely uninstalled also .
Hope this helps ...........

Do you get any error messages before the restart? HT included a debug code in previous betas

I too have an Fx5200 and have found that the 53.03 Omega drivers give me a significant frame rate improvement over latest Nvidia effort as well as being stable.
Please note that on installation you will be offered the choice of performance or quality - recommend performance. Also uninstall existing driver & reboot before new install - can't hurt & might help.

Darkish can u give a little more info on the rest of your system?I have a FX5200 too,but i am not too puter smart and was lucky to pull off updating to latest nvidia driver.Heheheh i want to make sure its worth the risk of my dabbling in the guts of my puter again. Just wanted to see how close puters are. Thanks :) With all sliders set to performance I get about 75 to 85 fps in the air not in battle.
