I think the worst thing mr black has done is turn a lot of us into paranoid bastards who, as soon as a new-guy walks into the room we grab him by the collar, toss him into a wall and start in on him "it's you black, isn't it?", "I know its you", "you aren't fooling me".
take a second and actually try to imagine what goes through a new member's mind when he logs on to the AH BBS for the first time.
can you picture being on the receiving end of that first impression?
we are coming across like a bunch of paranoid freaks. we need to at least wait until the new guy posts something about snipers, Texas, motocross, or SRV before we starting to accuse them if being another shade account.

i agree...ive found myself doing the same thing, although i think ive been correct every time.... in not sure about the "lady" that showed up here yesteday tho.

Looks like I missed something here.
What I really hate is the whole "community" bashing one guy. At least when I don't understand why ;)

It's always been like that.
I will never forget the recaption I got here four years ago when I first posted... I had a "luftwaffe" type name and I asked a quetion about why bombers were killing figters our to 2,000 yards, whih was something in had never read about in books or seen in pilot interviews... People jumed all opver me as if i was some shade account troll and whatever....
Hell when I started posting here I was very polite as I usally am with people but that didnt last long on this BBS...

Just to put your mind at rest Tigerlilly is from the Strippers Web definately not a Mr.Black shade account. If I recall he has some rather rotten opinions of Strippers ... Probably why I don't like him.

hmm, was quite different for me. I never had any animosity when I joined, everyone was friendly and welcoming, after awhile one or 2 guys would get on your nerves, but no big deal.
I've seen people get fed up with a regular now and then along the way, but this rudeness and accusations for any new guy who shows up within a few days after Mr black gets banned again, seems fairly new and very ugly.
with the speed at which he goes from new account to banned to new account again, it doesn't leave many windows for a newcomer to be welcomed in. they'd have to be lucky enough to sign up and start posting in the very few days where black has been identified, but not banned to avoid suspicion.
I'm afraid if we don't get it under control quickly, any decent new people who show up on this BBS aren't going to be hanging around.
however, this type of atmosphere really appeals to the Mr Black types (why else would it be so important to him that he set up shade accounts after about 1/2 dozen bannings) so when another like him apears they are likely to hang around and further the problem.
I think airhead had the right idea, with simply ignoring him if he shows up again. it's hard to resist taking a shot at him, he managed to push my buttons and I'm just as much at fault as anyone.
but we need to take airheads ignoring idea to the next level. don't just stop at not replying to his bait. but if you think someone is a new Mr black alias, ignore him completely. don't 'out' him, don't tell him you know who he is and that you are going to ignore him, and don't speculate who may be him, don't post evidence.
you don't really need to confirm the identity one way or the other anyway. if it's him, ignore him. if it's just a new guy who acts like him, ignore him too (since his actions are why he gets banned, anybody acting like him would be equally deserving of being ignored). since your response is the same whether it's him or not, there is no need to discuss it.
anyway thats the only workable solution I can see.
do whatever you want, but this is what I plan to do, unless somebody's got a better idea.
so after this thread is talked out, I plan on doing my best to not bring up the subject of him again.
