SCIO, N.Y. -- A soldier from Allegany County is being recommended by fellow Marines to receive the Medal of Honor, the military's highest award.

Cpl. Jason L. Dunham of Scio, 65 miles southeast of Buffalo, has been credited with saving the lives of two U.S. Marines in Karbala on April 14.
