OK .......so I figured out that I don`t have an AGP slot(brown plug).I have a PCI slot(white plug).Now.....knowing this much i`m still a bit confused. Can I upgrade my computer`s video card so that I can play AH2?I have a Dell Dimension 2350 with an integrated intel 3D extreme graphics video card.I`m getting desparate here people!I want to be able to play this game but I don`t know if this piece of crap will let me.I have 128 mb of ram right now and I was going to add more for the game as well as get a new card but I just don`t know what to do now.:(

I would say no, your gonna need a agp port, tho I could be wrong

There are PCI GeForce FX's (FX 5200?) and Radeons (at least up to R9200?) available, so the answer is yes, you can get a new graphics card even without AGP slot. :)

you can run a pci type video card , but your gonna need to have a cpu around 1 ghz , and you will need to toss more ram in it,
add a stick of 256mb ram to it and it should play ok .
i think the fx5200 is around 80.00 and a stick of 256 is just under 50.00.

1st if you do install a PCI slot Vid Card...REMEMBER TO DISABLE THE INTEGRATED vid card.....delete its drivers.
what speed is your CPU(processor)....saying to us that its a dell 2350 means nothing....
and do get your RAM to at least 512.....

PCI works , I installed a G Force4 mx 4000 PCI card and now I can play AHII. :aok And a better frame rate, went from 6-22fps to 49 to 70 fps..:D .......
See you all there :aok

I got the GEforce 5200, 768 RAM and 1.8 processor. Frame rate drops into low 20's in what I think is a small furball. Seems like I should be getting better results. Are there settings I should check on the card to make sure I'm using it to its full potential?

Jetb123, be sure to get the XT or Pro version of the 9600. The other versions are not nearly as good. I did a similar upgrade at Newegg, but went with the Geforce FX 5700 Ultra which is only slightly better than the ATI 9600 XT. Good luck with your upgrade. Mine came to less than $450 for the Grafix card, Motherboard, CPU and 512 Megs of memory. Will put it all together tonight.
Good luck with your video card upgrade allmeta1. I have AGP board, but when I tried to upgrade just the video card, I found the Motherboard I was using was not compatible with the newer AGP cards so it was a good excuse to upgrade the motherboard too. It was a lot more expensive, but I feel better about my system now.
