Apparently there's been a 45% decline in burglary in the UK in the last 10 years - imagine how much better it would have been if we'd all had guns!!!

burglary was going down before the gun ban but the rate was slowed after the ban.  muggings are up and...

more of your burglaries happen when you are home than ours in the states..  they just walk in and push your defensless wussy ass's around.

I was talking about expecting to see Shaden at the RAS lecture which he couldn't make cos of a work commitment. Didn't think he was coming to the friday booze up.

I had been visiting a manufacturer down in Devon and my car's fuel pump died - I thought it was just a air blockage and cleared all the pipes - got it going but as a I pulled off the highway it died again - blech coasted into the dealer - took them a week to fix it so went down to fetch it over the long weekend.

Discovered I am now far too old to surf and the Atlantic is far too cold to surf in even if you aren't too old to surf.

Next time you're in town drop into the B&B I posted in Wimbledon - very nice and 3 min walk from the village - London is 20 mins away.

I think it's just silly. On one hand, we have the pro-gun types saying that the anti-gun types are living in fear of guns. On the other hand, we have the anti-gun types saying that the pro-gun types are just living in fear.

It's all rubbish, IMHO. If you wish to own firearms, the Constitution supports your right to do so. I just don't see why this gets spun as some sort of manhood issue (from either side). It's crap.

Jeez, you guys are humorless.   I will explain it for you, though that pretty much kills whatever humor it may have had.

See, Laz said he was a wussie, then Schad said he had a bat, ah hell forget it.  I don't even own a gun-got rid of them when my kids were born and won't get another till they are older.

humor asside... Are yu saying that not having guns is decreasing your burglary rates?   Or... Are you correctly implying that not having guns in the home and making it illegal to protect your property is what has caused the fact that your burglaries are commited while the criket bat weilding wussy owner is hiding under his bed stroking his bat?

Why are your muggings going up?   aren't your muggers afraid you might have a bat?

As for the noodle thing... I used to have a tiny little euro noodle but the last two 44 mags I bought increased the size by at least 4 inches..

either you wussies are lieing about your willingness to actualy confront a burglar with one of those cricket paddle thingies or....

 the cricket bat defense is not working on the unpatriotic burglars of england.

Hot burglaries (those where the owner is home) are at 59% in england.   Burglars seem to like the no firearms/no defending property laws there... In contrast... the average for the U.S. is about 12%.... much less for right to carrry states.

most of the criminals I knew would get angry if you tried to defend your property with one of those cricket paddles... Apparently british criminals feel about the same considering the number of hot burglaries and muggings  there.  I don't even think a right to carry concealed paddle law would help.
