Are the planes (targets) made smaller in AH2? Is the scale made smaller? Perhaps its the new icon system but the planes themselfs look smaller. It is even more difficult to tell a badguys orientation now from distances of more than 6-700d.. Am I imagining something here?? Would a reduction in resolution make things abit larger??

Your imagining things. Sizes havn't changed. But do to the range increments a plane can be different sizes for 1 number.

Plane scale looks the same to me - but the more subtle graphics in AH2 give a better sense of depth/distance and that may be what you are perceiving. Also, the enemy icons now appear below the plane, and that could affect your perception of size as well.

ok guys.. thanks!!
How about the lower resolution part, will that make objects bigger or just not look as good??

I was thuinking the same thing upon initial impressions. The icons have an effect on that (as has been pointed out) but I think the darkness does too. I am having some difficulty tracking the movements of a con when he is against a very dark background like the water in the baltic or even the dark treetops. This effect is not as severe from 10:00AM to 2:00PM, but when the sun is low and the background is dark the plane objects look REALLY small.

I did notice some kind of shift in the planes graphics as I approach it. It appears that the icon has a different detail level from maybe 1.5-800, then shifts into higher resolution after that. Am I crazy?
The 2k-800 view is very good, course cant really remember what it looked like in ah1, but it seems different.
