Just curious to see what people were doing over the weekend? Here's mine.....
Went camping in Appalachian's southwest of blacksburg VA in small town called pembroke....Set up camp with fire in about an hour. There were 5 adults and 4 kids. I tried to cook dinner but my sister was being annoying and tryin to take over my chef position. Her shishkabobs turned out like crap..hehe. I managed to steal some steak and make my own batch of grub for the guys. They were much appreciative. We got into a bottle of vodka and got pretty lit..After playing some guitar and singing horribly we all crashed. It rained heavily, ( i didnt notice), I awoke to find my airmatress had a leak and I was sleeping in a puddle of water on the ground. I pulled my face out of the water and looked over to see my bro in law ( rileyb) sleeping like a baby in his new matress. (thanx for kindly offering your old brokea** one to me). Next day we went hiking, saw some beautiful views, a 60 foot waterfall in Cascades, VA, and headed home monday afternoon after drying out our soaking wet gear. (rained all weekend pretty much). All in all was very nice weekend. ( saw double rainbow on the way home)

Rained ALL freaking weekend. Again.
Today, sunny, 70° and I'm sitting behind a desk working for the Man and the corporate treadmill.

4 day weekend
Friday=Cooked out by the pool "Strips"
Saturday Cooked out at the beach "Brats and Burgers"
Sunday=Cooked out by the pool "Hamburgers"
Monday=Cooked out at the beach, then went home and cooked out by the pool "BBQ Chicken" "Topsir"
I can't remember I better weekend in the high 90's with only 70% humidity!

4 day weekend
Friday=had my horse shoed and went up the road...went to minneapolis to see friends compete in the horse show
Saturday Cooked out 'smoked some steaks (wrapped in hay and placed right on the grill...hay ignites...great taste) took horse up the road...pulled allnighter playing AH and damn I hate the pizza map sometimes!
Sunday=Cooked out and drank...took horse up the road...hung out with the (kinda) Mrs.
Monday=took horse up the road, had to work in the afternoon

Just came off of five days off. Was supposed to go halibut fishing on Friday but there were small craft advisories, so we didn't go. Played in a softball tournament Saturday and Sunday and ended up taking 4th. Pulled weeds and ran errands on Monday. At my desk typing this on my lunch. I enjoy my job, so it's not bad coming back to work.

Fri = Rain in evening like a cow pissing on a flat rock.
Sat = steady hard rain
sun = slow steady rain
Mon = more frickin rain
Today= still raining
pushing 4" total.
We did get out to see a movie sat, was about the high point of the weekend.

Stayed in town, went to a movie and out to eat with wife and son. Ran errands, went to to eat, again. All our closest relatives live 700 miles away, that's the best news.

We had four days of typical South Florida weather, hot and muggy but we spent the entire 4 days by the lake grillin and chillin. On Saturday night Frau Storch and I went dancing.

I worked, The business I am in is a 24/7/365 thing. And the weather sucked, so I don't mind as much.

Flew to Calgary on thursday and met with Soda and 2 of his friends. Drove to Kimberly and got 3 rounds of golf in. Scored under 100 on each which is good for me. Flew back Sunday night.

Saturday morning went to the range and started breaking in my new .257 Weatherby.
Saturday afternoon and evening spent helping the wife paint.
Sunday and monday took the wife and the kid to the Mogollon Rim. Camped out, did a little fishing and some sight seeing.
Pretty good weekend all around (except for the paint fumes that is. ;))

5 Day weekend.....
Thursday = played 36 holes of Golf. 73 - 75. Went to Dinner with Wife...Played a lil AH
Friday = Planted a lil Sod for Wife..Helped her with some House Work and Relaxed at Dinner. Played a lil AH.
Sat. Played ALOT of AH. Spent a quiet evening with Wife.
Sunday = Church..Cooked out...Play a lil AH
Monday = Cooked Out and played a lil AH. Watch the new movie on A&E called IKE....Good Flick.

After it rained all week, great, sunny weekend up here in Maine.
Sat: Mowed lawn, broke in the new lawnmower. Paid $200, Sears sent me across town to their warehouse to get it, guy running the place groaned, they were out of stock and some new kid at the mall had been doing this to customers all day (selling but not checknig inventory). So he called the manager, gave them hell and sent me back to the store. Manager met wth me, apologized and offered me the top of the line mower for nothign extra, apologizing again for the confusion. So I paid for a 6hp bagging mower, wound up with a 7hp one, bag, mulches, tall rear tires and front wheel drive that sells for $349. Works great! Self propel for a good sized lawn is nice
Sun: Another nice day, out with friends & family
Mon: Warm, sunny, did a lot of sanding & priming on my R2

SAT - Did some family time and stuff that needed doing around the house.
That night a Tornado or some very high straight line winds hit NW of us and knocked out all the power lines. Spent most of my Saturday night at the Fire House listening to radio reports and waiting to set the storm sirens off should they come toward our town.
Finally about 2am storm moves out of our area so I go home and to bed.
SUN - Sunday morning all power is cutt off so they can repair the grid. No TV or AC till 9pm Sunday night. Missed all the Races and other Memorial Day stuff. :(
Went to church in the morning and at around 2pm the Fire Dept gets together for it's cookout. Extremely good even with the bigscreen out! Generators hooked up to cook FF and for the radio. Considering it wasn't all bad.
To the Soliders out in the field that couldn't be home with their loved ones.
Also to the Soliders that gave thier life for our Country without which none of this would be possible.

We're leaving the house now as we sold it and are preparing to go RV full time until we decide to stop.

Monday took the Mrs. out and taught her to drive the truck / motorhome. We have a Volvo 660 semi tractor that I modified to a motorhome. It has an auto transmission but she never drove anything THIS FREAKING BIG before. It's not towing right now but the 5th wheel won't slow the truck down any. Had a great time then went back and packed some more.
Got to get a 4 bedrrom + den house w/ 3 car garage in a moving van to take to the kids in Texas. I am SO sick of packing!!!! The house closes on the 11th. :eek:
