Ok i just started this new squad called 101st carolin bombers, and i need to know how do u promote your squad so ppl will go to your website and all that good stuff, and help would be appriciated.

Have everyone put some phony baloney rank in their signature block. It's worked for a few squads.   ;)

name your squad after a stripper that has never heard of you.

get metavoss to sign on... he draws em like scorpions.

get a flashy sheild thingie like the BK's

get a decent public relations officer who makes a lot of online friends

Ill try to give you some Ideas.

First you need to have an Identity for your squad.  In other words, you need to know what type of squad are you,  what do you like to do,  whats important in your squad.   Things like that,  So you can relate to others what your about.

Second there is a squadron Forum here on the BBS,  Make an add to promote your squad,  if you can,  imbed pictures and make it fun and interesting.   Talk about the things you decided above.  about every 10 days,  add a reply stating your still accepting recruits.

When your up flying,  be polite and friendly to everyone around you.   Remember the pilots flying nearby are potential recruits.  Treat them all good and word will get around that your a good bunch.  

Also Show a willingness to do the tuff jobs as well as the cream.  your squad can get a bad rep if all they do is vulch,  yet never hit AAA for example.  

If your willing,  Let folks know your willing to train and bring newer players along.  

And if none  of that works,  Offer Free Beer!   That always gets attention!!   ;)

Congrats on your squad!

If you have a website...try putting a link to it in your signature block...that can help alot!

You can check out ours...by no means fancy....by hitting the link in my signature block.

Also look for folks that have the same interests and philosopy on AH as well.  As I am sure that most CO's can attest, you will get some bad eggs once in a while, but look for folks you enjoy flying with!
