Ok i have seen ppl using aimbots but cant prove it and for the most part i am tired of it, i mean how can u hit a tank from 6k+ out and hit it in one shot?and dont say skill cause there is no skill behind this?and a manned ack hit me from 5k out i was right above him flying over, and he hit me from 5k out?i mean how i can never do that. So please someone tell me?

Those 6k shots in tanks are possible. Dunno about first shot.. Maybe your exaggerating on the first shot.. Yah I'm gonna interpret this as an anger post and understand your exaggerating. Those shots are possible after a few "test shots". The 5k out manned ack thing, well. Maybe it was unmanned ack that hit you, and manned ack shot at ya on the way down and got the proxy. Or maybe your over exaggerating again, yah thats it.

Ridenlow, maybe this game is just not for you?... everytime I see or hear from you, you're angry about how the game or someone in the game is cheating you. You may want to back away from Aces High, and go with something a little more tame. Yahoo games offers a fine selection, you might try there?

Bad form! very bad! Myself and a few others can pick u off at max range in a GV or field ack. Takes alot of practice and a few ranging shots.
Heed my advice: edit your post... the last one especially. I REALLY don't think Hitech gonna be cool with it. up to you though just trying to save you some greif.

thats a heck of a shot I agree.
Popped a guys turret first shot at 4.5 alittle while ago. Was funny watching him spin around and around trying to figure out where I was. Killed him with the second shot. That 1st shot though was mostly luck and a good guess on range. You run around in Gv's for awhile you start getting a good idea of intial range. There are LOTS of variable like if your up on a hill or your prey is. If yur moving or he is ect.
i would chalk it up to a lucky shot. Now if it was a sqawn point he might have had it ranged already, you pop up he shoot and your dead or hurt bad before your engine warms up. Or you could have seen one guy at 6.0 but didnt see the other who was alot closer and to the side. I've circled around and popped lots of guys from the side who didnt even know i was there.
if you think something is fishy FILM it REVEIW it and if you still think somthing is up send it in.

No it wasnt at a spawn point, i was ROLLIN to a field and the guy popped me from more than 6k out lets put it that way, but ya, and no it wasnt a lucky shot cause that is outa the turret.

I think it's grossly unfair that the GV Dweebs get aimbots and we don't - do I have to take this opportunity to point out that it's called Aces HIGH!! not Aces with tracks or Aces for people who can't fly....
If they get aimbots we should get aimbots too...and better one's as well>

It's called using the mouse pointer as a reference to distance. I've hit stuff at the very bottom of the reticle before; haven't a clue what range that is.
As for Aces Low, well, tell HiTech that, not us! :)

FURBALL i film everything now, but i got a new comp the other day and now i dont have all my videos, i have to get them off of my old harddrive, and when the tank shot me from 6.2k in one shot, i recorded cause someone said that he might have an aimbot, and i will apoligize for saying u was cheating in your 17's i looked at the film later and seen u was in a slow dive.

Lie, cheat, steal, kill - whatever it takes, get us one of those programs, and prove that it exists. Then you shall be hailed as a hero. It'll become the largest scandal of entire AH history.
Otherwise, accusations regarding cheating/cheating programs is probably gonna kill whatever 'social status' you had in this community.

If you're talking about the shot I made on you, it was a manned ack that killed your flak/panzer (I couldn't see which it was).
Planes that fly level over a field are easy pickings for manned acks. I routinely hit Lancs/17s at 10k.

This should have been your first clue as to why you shouldn't have created this post. If you could prove it, then send the proof to HTC and still don't create a post like this.

You "think" ? Enquiry minds would still like to know how you have accurately determined the range.
When I sit in a tank, and look at the opposing tank, I have absolutly no real clue as to their range. I can guesstimate by their size, but there are no visual indicators as to their EXACT range. When looking thru the gunsite, after a ranging shot or 2, I still can't say that one is EXACTLY 2.5K away. The gunsite only goes to approx. 3.4K on the scale, so again, even if you could get a ranging shot near the GV, how you could determine that the shot was 6.2K away amazes me. What's the trick ?
Also, if a manned ack is shooting at a GV, the rounds that miss, don't make any noise or show on the terrain. You only know that they are firing, when they HIT you. I can pick GVs off at quite a distance using a manned ack. I just walk to the rounds right to the target.
From what I have read here on the BBS and what you have put across on CH 1, there is nothing in this game that is believeable to you. Why do you torture yourself ?

This kind of silly trash comes from people who just dont have an understanding of the game. They are so "blown away" so to speak about getting killed on countless occasions that they begin to think that others must simply be cheating the game. It couldnt be just that they are doing something wrong, or it not wrong them others are just doing something right. Although its more likely they just have no clue what is going on.
As far as ack goes. I've been hit from puffy ack with NO CV in sight, no signs of it before I went down. Just one nice big bang in front of my plane and it slices me in half. Ack over a base is just as leathal if you sit there flying over it and let it zone in one you.
First thing I look for when I get to a base after looking around to see what I have to deal with as far as planes go is what does the field look like. Is the ack up. If so how much of it. Are there any GV's on the base. If so what kinds and where are the. A little SA can go a long ways towards keeping you alive.
FYI, there is no Aimbot in the game. There are no hackers in the game. If you see someone who you beleive to be "cheating" film it. Sitting here talking about it and throwing accusations around will bring nothing but harm.

One time while I was sitting on a ridge in a tiger I got a one shot kill on someone in a panzer. Their range was about 4.5 to 5K out. I was trying to range him and my first shot happened to hit the panzer and kill him.
So it is very possible
Plus I have gotten kills 6K out before after getting the range.

I can hook you up with the super invisi spit patch, I've been accused of that. Here's the secrete come in low behind the guy in his blind spot, climb up under him and blow him away, then listen to him cry about you cheating and using the inivisi plane cheat. bwahahahahaa lol Dolts. I love em.
Slap has the all your kills belong to me patch, every time you shoot a plane down while he's around he gets the kill and you get the assist. He wont share that one tho.
Lev has the just fly near him and you die cheat.
Then there is the Crap I Blew the Merge Run cheat. Basically you dive in on a low con. The low con gets the better of you so you hit the cheat and your plane auto runs as fast as it can. A lot of people have that one.
Finnally there is the anti fight cheat aka Sunday Drive cheat, this makes your plane stay high in the sky, once in a while it will look like your comming down to engage but it never does. It will do this for hours. Mostly just exhausting your foes fuel so that he has to go land then you turn off the cheat and vulch them. Too many people had this cheat last night.
Never heard of no aim bot tho.

ridenlow, Accusing anyone of cheating in a public fourm (either here or online) is increadibly bad form. If you belive some one is cheating film it , then watch the film first b4 you send it to us.
A word of advice, stop accusing anyone of cheating. Just try find out how they are killing, and learn how to do the same.

i love 6k gun duels, and ive hit moving targets far out when they
dont change directions. ive killed lots from 6k or so out in tigers and panzers, ask around eheh.
as far as mannable ack, they have 6k or so range on GVs and 10k alt on planes. if ur not 10k or more above gl ack ill hit u.

I am 100% sure that I have killed you a few times in the past. I know without a shadow of a doubt that you have got me as well. I think I may have been that guy that may have shot you down. I have made some far shots. I killed a JU 87 at 3.9K with manned ack. I have shot and hit tanks at very long range as well. I am a noob or dweeb or whatever you call a new guy (FNG). I still have trouble figuring out the sights on a Panzer or Tiger but I get my fair share of kills in tanks. Then just the opposite I get my butt handed to me as well. Damn LTARS! LOL!!!!!! Its possible that you were just very unlucky that day. I mean I have also shot planes down while in my Osti over 2.5K.
The other day I shot down a flight of JU88's and a C47 trying to capture V45. I was in my Osti and getting some very far hits. I bet that goon driver was thinking how in the world did he hit me? Gotta know ballistics and lead. Then again serving 8 years in the military does have its advantages.

Somewhere on this board is a thread on tank gunnery that describes a procedure on how you can use the gunsight to closely estimate the distance to a target. I tried it once and it works. Look for it and give that a shot.
You gotta get over this everybody's cheating thing, mang. It only serves to spoil your fun.

RIDENLOW.......I love the long shots...For the very reason...It takes skill...almost no one can range me faster then i range them.
No aimbot here and i will hit within the 3rd shot at 6k sometimes I have hit in 1 but not often, unless I have ranged the spot (spawn point) by killing others or test shots. No big deal...Its a Skill thing

Pull 1-2g turns and they will never hit a aircraft at 5k..
The tank story sounds plausible.. Once someone has your range down they can nail you...
This especially happens near spawn points becuse the enemy has already ranged their guns on your buds hence making you easy prey...

The limits are starting to be pushed on the joking about aim bots, I know it is suposed to be a joke, but there are some people who don't know that for sure. Next thing you know it becomes a rumor about aim bots floating about AH.
I.E. joking about cheating is not a good thing to do. I've kicked people of this bbs for it before.

Yesterday I gave you some tips on how to market your squad.
Starting Posts like this, that look like a whine to most of the people, take away credibility. It would be better to refrain from posts like this one.
If you have a consern, think it over first, then bounce it off someone thats been around for a while, then If it still makes no sence to you, send an Email to HTC and ask them. If its done politely, I am sure they will do whatever they can to explain a situation.

I have to agree with WildCrd on this, lots of times I have been killed by someone I hadn't even seen who was closer than the vehicle I was shooting at. And I doubt very seriously if anyone is using aimbots.

getting accused of Cheating is like getting carded at a club, something that used to Irratate me, but now makes me feel like Im better than I really am . The last time I was accused of Cheating was when some one tried to turn fight my 47D-25 in a spit and I managed to out turn him.....Of course I had no ord, 6 guns, 1/2 ammo and fuel, aux tank was dry, and I kept the speed up where a light Jug gets a better turn on the Corner chart..... but it was "Cheating"

Accusations of cheating are the most sincere form of flattery. Thats what I strive for - to be called a cheat (was gonna use another word but had bad experiences with it - you know like a bad cough)! :P
But I'm a long way from that. I did come close once - "how did your spit outdive a 51??" but then he backed off - ahhhh - so close yet so far :D
I put it right up there with my 2 inch birdie putt on a par 3 :(

Hehehe...did the same thing too once. A F4U came straight at my shore battery and got hit when I fired at the Rookie cruiser. Another time I shot down Metatron/Voss/ex-CIA agent in a Panzer. He came straight at my main gun in an IL2 and promptly lost his wing when I nailed him with a HE round.

was at a field in SB once where it overlooks the runway, think its one of the ones up the NW side of trinity. The field is being vulched and i am waiting to give the LVT's a headache.
The vulchers are passing low to the runway, so i line up on it and fire. As the tracer leaves the gun i see an f4u flying across the field, right where the tracer lands he is flying a few feet above.

I go to give him some, whats the word.... friendly banter but he has logged. :D
Theres a little trick you can do with SB that i discovered. If someone is strafing it they often wait til the last second to pull up to get max firing time. Wait until they fly overhead and shoot straight into the ground, you will often shoot them down if you time it right.

I just whacked a B17 from the field gun while the icon read "5.4k" which is 16,200 ft. Three hits in the left wing and 1 in the cockpit area. I hit a second buff from over 6.0k (twice) while he was extending to reverse. None of the buffs survived after he dropped to 300 ft. and attempted to straffe the VH.
Hitting a freshly spawned panzer is child's play once you have the range.

In AH2 I was hitting guys so far away they appeared as little more than black dots (almost from one spawn point to the next). I had driven to a good spot and it took quite a few rounds and fooling with the gunsight to figure the angle out. Guys thought I was cheating too till I explained where I was shooting from. Lesson being not everything is as you percieve it at the time.
GV's are pretty good for what they do, and you have nice terrian to play in now - not bad considering this is an airplane game. GV's are still not yet HTC's best achievement, but they have come quite a long way.

A tangential comment:
In WWII, hitting an opposing tank at 2k from another tank was exceptional. Also, at that range, a KwK36 88mm gun (like in Tiger I) would only penetrate about 86mm of homogeneous armor at 30 degrees. (From book "Sherman Firefly" by Hayward; similar data on Internet). This implies that if you hit another Tiger from the front at ranges over 2k, it shouldn't normally yield a kill.
If the AH tank model allows kills at 4k and above, it would appear to be very unrealistic. Anyone know why it is modeled this way?
(BTW, you guys are using overkill on that poor ridenlow guy).

Quite right,
The combat ranges in this game are totally unrealistic. Normal effective range for the TIGER was 1000m, 500 for Pnzr IV.

way back in the day i think i remember panzer shots over a certain distance not being visible to enemy. (like at 6k+, the tracer doesnt show)

Might be true, guys I was shooting at were so far bullet took 10 seconfs or so to travel the distance. They said they couldn't figure out where, or even from what direction, I was firing from. I was using HE ammo and eventually wore my targets down.

I dont know about any aim-bot but I have seen some stuff that lends to the possibilty, for instance
I no longer use GVs because the last time I did, I hit an NME panzer 4 times(out of 12-15 rds fired) from very very long range while he was moving & I was stationary. Not only did the panzer prove to be teflon coated but he killed me in 1 shot while he was moving. Needsless to say I have NEVER taken a GV out again, nor do I have any intetion of doing so.

First off, their is no aimbot in AH. Its something someone made up.
BUT, I do believe an AIM-Bot would be those annoying auto-send message programs that you see when doing an AIM Chat AIM(AmericanOnline Instant Messager=AIM).
"Hi I'm Bambi, Click here to see hot pics of me" kinda stuff.

I thought the AIM-bot was a tool for automatically getting threads locked :confused:
