Title: HELP IN Photoshop for Maps
Post by: kamori on June 03, 2004, 01:01:30 PM
I have created a small field map in photoshop 6.

I am aware that the .BMP needs to be at 257k for the game correct?

If so, How do I go from a .PSD file to a .BMP and dictate what size the .BMP saves at ?

Thank you

You can't control the file size when converting to a BMP without changing the dimensions (i.e., pixel width/height) of the picture.  That is, BMP is an uncompressed format so you cannot control the level of the (non-existant) compression.

Do you mean instead that the BMP is required to be 256 colours?

The file size of the .bmp's are at 257 k if you look at the file size. there all the same in ah1 and 2.

I don't know!  I'm asking you, as I'm unfamiliar with the requirements.

Got to menu Image (or picture) => mode => Indexed color
then save as bmp.
