Title: Can play AH2 but not AH

For the longest time I have not been able to play AH.  I download AH2 Beta 36, install, and whaddyaknow...it works.

When I would try to go online or offline with AH I would be in the tower for a split second then CDT.  AH2 runs perfectly fine.

I know it won't matter much longer with AH2 coming online next week but I am curious as to what would cause this problem.  Didn't change anything that I can think of that would cause this.  At the time I was running Win2K with SP3 and have since upgraded to XP Pro.  Nvidia GF4 Ti 4200 with drivers running from the 3X.XX to 4X.XX to the current and DX8.X, now DX9.0b.

Any ideas?

reinstall....totaly from fresh (the game that is!)

but...i recommend playing AHII beta......... ;)

Have you tried a fresh install of AH1?  When I say fresh, I mean use the Add/Remove Program ICON in the Control Panel of Windows, and then remove the C:\Program Files\HTC\Aces High folder.
After that, do an install of Aces High.  If you want to preserve any settings, you can save a copy of the "settings" folder located in the C:\Program Files\HTC\Aces High folder before removing the program.

Yep, that did the trick.  I could swear I've done that many times before but I guess I didn't get all of the files.  This time I made sure I did.  Thanks again Skuzzy and Overlag.
