First, I already know integrated sound is lousy. Now with that out of the way...
I have a major sound problem. I am using Mitsu's sounds. Usually on takeoff or anytime I kill my engine in flight I get an awful feedback type noise. It will continue and increase in volume for about 5-6 seconds unless I cause some other sound to happen (i.e. fire a gun, lower flaps).
I have the latest (and only) set of sound drivers available. I have tried re-installing sounds. Running out of ideas, pleh.

Does it happen with the stock sounds?
-
Yes, it does.
-
The only thing I can think of is the possibility that the sound chip is sharing an IRQ with some other high data usage device.
-
I can't find any conflicts. It's only on eng start/stop 99% of the time. I tried disabling those sounds and it still happens.

I am at a loss on this one. I know others have that sound chip and have not reported any errors like this. This would lead one to conclude it is something peculiar to your system configuration, but I have no idea what it would be.
If you would send me the output of DXDIAG, something might show up in it.

You've got mail.

Find anything Skuzzy?

Sorry for the delay rpm. If I got the email, it has been responded to.

Got your e-mail. There are no new drivers for the sound, I looked.
I have an old SoundBlaster Audigy laying around somewhere. I might try installing it.
