Windows XP

Yes but you need DirectX 9.0b, do you have it ?? My XP didn't and it's a month old.
Run Dxdiag and see what version of direct x is currently on your machine. If it is 9.0b run the tests to make sure there isn't a problem.
If it isn't 9.0b update your XP at microsoft. Prolly lots of stuff to update if you haven't been there. Make that a weekly thing.
Hope this helps

I have Direct X 8.1.:(

That's the problem :)
Go to the microsoft update sight. You probably have a "update windows" thingy on your "start" button ....thingy.
It will search your computer and give you a list of updates. Direct X has to be downloaded and installed seperate from the rest. Security updates are important also, and there are gobs of them.
Do the direct X download and see if it works for the game. You can go back later for all the other updates.
Hope your not on dialup :D
If you are, just start the DX download when you go to bed..
